I couldn’t help but stand from my place in complete shock. What the hell?? “She was punished because of your foolishness,” Derek’s words were harsh but he wasn’t complaining nor blaming me at all. After dissolving his words, finally I returned to my place with a calm heart. “What happened to her?” I asked, curious. “Disaster, being with Shepherd man brought death upon her,” Derek spoke bitterly, his nerves straining his forehead. “And your uncle?” I raised my brow with a curious heart. “Huh, living a life of another’s choice finally he died with his own choice,” Derek let out a small chuckle of pain which made the atmosphere between us suffocate.

"I'm sorry, I have an emergency situation. Before I go, I need to tell you something, dear. As a man, if there was some way for you to help, I am sure that they would have let you. If there was something that you could have done, you would have done it. Your actions, or inactions, are not the reason why Joseph B. died. "Did hear me Ace? Derek is dead. He was found this morning at the lake. ME said overdose which probably means Alvarez." I sat up from my bed, throwing my legs off the side and placed my head in my hands. I was feeling better from whatever drug my father gave me but I was still a bit hung over. Maybe I was hallucinating, dreaming. "Get the fuck up!" Daniel yelled and it jolted me to my feet. Only one man ever yelled at me and I fucking hated him. "Watch your mouth. What the fuck are you talking about? Where is Derek?" "He is dead. We need to go."

She wanted to make sure her fluff covered as much of her as it could for warmth. As the sun fell behind the horizon Derek’s heart broke. He let her go, took his eyes off her once more and now here he was. The tears began to fall down his cheeks as his knees hit the dirt softly. He should have just died in their hands. He should have let himself be killed then this would have never happened. She would be safe in the arms of a man that can actually keep her safe.

WILL’S POV It had been over a month since the miscarriage incident, and until now, it was still hurting that Derek had died before I laid my hands on him. He was said to have been gunned down in a killing spree in a distant town. But then, with all my research, and findings, it was certain that Derek had someone who gave him orders to harm Nadia, and I would not rest until I fish out who it was that tried to harm my wife. I had been trying to watch out for loose ends, but I hadn’t found any.

I was relieved and I allowed my thoughts wander to the last moments I had with James before he was killed by Derrick. He had just got me a chicken freshly killed, as a werewolf I loved my meat raw and not cooked. He was going to roast his as we sat by an open fire in front of his hut. Later that night, I heard some footsteps and I panicked, I thought the villagers were back. I peeped through a small hole of the branches I covered the cave entrance with and I saw Derrick looking for me where he had left me earlier.
