"I ALPHA ARVAN BLACK REJECT YOU ROSE LEE AS MY MATE AND AS MY LUNA." I heard his rejection. I felt numb for a moment. I was watching his cruel eyes, which were looking at me with hatred. He didn't say anything more, went to his car, got in, and left. Everything happened so fast before I could understand anything.

“For you to decide you want more.” I let out a quiet, disbelieving breath. “Oh, I’m sure it is.” “Then?” he presses, watching me with that infuriating, self-assured smile. Waiting. Certain. “If I say yes,” I ask, “after those three days—you’re done? You stop bothering me?” “I disappear,” he says simply. “You go back to your normal life. But,” he adds, voice dipping just enough to catch, “that’s if you can.” A flicker of something sharp moves through me. “We’ll see.”

Instead, he stepped back slightly. The pull didn’t disappear— But it loosened. Just enough for me to breathe again. “Soon,” he said quietly. “Very soon… you’ll remember.” My heart pounded. “And when you do…” His gaze locked onto mine one last time. “…you’ll have to decide who you really belong to.” My chest tightened violently. Before I could respond— He disappeared. Not like the shadow. Not fading. Not dissolving. Just— Gone. Like he had never been there at all.

With that, I no longer cared whether he understood me or not. I didn't look back at his puzzled expression. I picked up my suitcase, walked out of the villa without turning my head, and made my way to the airport. Just before boarding my flight to a foreign country—one where no one knew my name—I dropped my phone into the airport trash bin, along with every memory I had of Aaron and Lucas.
