When He Disappears Let Him Go Novels & Stories

“Run as far as you want to. Try to escape from this bond, but I'll find you.” “I won't stop trying." His words sent a chill down my spine. I shivered before steeling myself. ‘We would see about that.' I thought to myself. To my surprise, his grip loosened before I pulled away and soon after, disappeared. He took a step back, cold air replacing the warmth of his proximity. I turned to him in wonder, meeting his gaze with my own. He didn't say a word. Confusion and frustration Why did he let me go?

His head falls. "So, I kept going, and going, and going. Everyone pulled me away because it was unsafe. But every time I looked back, I saw his soul sitting next to his body and had to keep trying. When I finally gave up, he disappeared. I was holding him here by not letting go and making him accept nothing could save him." My arms wrap around him, he looks down at me and smiles.

I looked at Adam, he looked at me. I grabbed the man by the hair and forced his head up. "Look at me, don’t lie. Not today.” "I’m not lying!" he cried. I didn’t hit him, not yet, Instead, I stood and walked around him slowly. Sometimes, fear works better when you don’t rush. "Do you know what happens when a man disappears?" I asked quietly. He swallowed. "Please–" 'No one looks for him." I said. "No one comes. No one asks questions. He just fades." I said the last part demonstrating with my hands.

The way his eyes never quite meet mine. Alex’s breath goes sharp. “Do not move,” he says. “I’m coming to you.” The guard shifts his weight. I grip the edge of the chair. The door opens— And the guard is gone. Just… gone. No sound. No warning. Like smoke slipping through a crack. “Alex,” I whisper. “He disappeared.” “I know,” Alex says, already running. “Stay where you are. Lock the door.” Before I can respond, my phone buzzes.

Everything he had been planning, the city, the safe house, the contact list, all of it evaporated in the time it took him to understand what he was looking at. "Wait." His voice had lost every trace of the usual smoothness. No calibrated charm, no smug confidence. Just a man. Just fear, uncomplicated and total. "Wait, listen… I will disappear. You will never hear my name again, I swear it. I'll leave the country tonight, I have resources, I can be gone by morning…" "Jean." I looked at him calmly. "Too late, mate." The color left his face completely. "Please—"

“I just want to disappear, Frank. Do we have a deal or not? And before you answer, I know exactly how to get the best and the worst out of Cicero.” He smiles and points at me repeatedly. “You’re too slow. But yes, we have a deal. I won't be the one to tell you how stupid this disappearance plan of yours is. I mean, why leave when you can stay and comfortably reap where you didn’t sow You-?” “Thank you,” I cut him off. “Sure. But we need to make sure your serial killer boyfriend doesn’t arrive at Mayhaven until finals. So, tell me what I need to know.”

“Tell me what to do.” He stared straight ahead. “Tell me what you want from me. I’ll do it.” He rested his fingertips against his lips. “Disappear.” I didn’t feel the pain from his insult, even though he meant the word with every fiber of his being. “If I disappear, Isabella will suffer.” “Yes but she won’t suffer forever.”

And I'm so happy I did I transferred the number quickly to my phone and then sat down, staring at it I need to send him a message, the time is running out fast, and that man needs to be released I scratched my head while thinking of all the things that I had to say, all the convincing that needed to be said. Once I got a hold of something, I quickly typed it into the phone. 'Let Him Go' was all that I typed. I don't know if it was enough, I'm not certain if he will get the exact massage I needed and let the man go, but that was all I typed

He leans in then, forehead resting against mine, his voice a breath against my skin. “Then let’s disappear, my love. And return as legends.” Yes! ##########

"I don't know." "That's not helpful." "I know." "So try again." I sighed. "I feel trapped." "By Charles?" "By everyone." He frowned. "That sounds dramatic." "It is dramatic." "So what do you want to do?" I lifted my head and looked directly at him. "I want to disappear." Damiano blinked. "I'm sorry?" "I want to disappear," I repeated. He stared at me for several seconds before leaning back in his seat. "Jax." "I'm serious."
