I said with a crooked voice. A lump formed in my throat the moment I layed my eyes on them and tears welled up in my eyes but I fought it back. "Oh my God Nicole." Betty screamed as she ran into my hands and she almost knocked me over. "I can't believe you are here." She said excitedly but my eyes are on Nicholas.

I asked, trying to keep my voice calm. Nicole looked up at me, confusion etched on her face. "Do what?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. I gestured towards her, trying to encompass the pain and suffering I saw in her. "This. What you are doing right now. Why are you crying?" She took a deep breath before holding up her phone to me. "You think I'm being dramatic? Look at this!" she said, her voice shaking. On the screen was a picture of Nicole and Nina. Nina was painting, and Nicole was simply watching her.

I say to her cupping her face in my hands, turning her to face me “If it’s about what I said earlier about representation and demands, I apologize, it wasn’t meant to make you feel bad, just prepare you for the road ahead” I say to her letting her face go She holds my gaze and replies “it’s not you Chris, I totally understand my role here” and she sniffs and turns back to face the window “Then why have you been crying? Wait, did you know Nicole?” I ask as I suddenly remember that she started acting weird when she saw the picture outside the church

Sobbing into her neck, she shut her eyes and tried to stop the tears but they wouldn't budge. She didn't want to think about the future. She was too scared to think about it. If she dared, then she would have to let go of Richard and that wasn't what she was betting on. Nicole rubbed her back while she cried. The iphone 13 and burnt chicken veggies long forgotten. Deep sorrow-filled sobs were barely stifled as she carried on- if Nicoli weren’t awake, he would have been now. Please don’t cry. Nicoli felt a need to help. It looked wrong for someone so pretty to cry like that- like she was in so much pain. She looked like a beautiful fairy with her little face and thick lashes. Nicoli didn’t even know why she was crying, to begin with. But he lifted his hand gently to touch her face and wipe a tear. “Ana-“ Stop crying. Nicoli began, but Ana suddenly snapped her head. Her eyes widened in terror at the sight of him awake. Her sob caught in her throat.

She pulls her hands away. "Get out" She wimpers "what?" He asked confused "i said GET OUT" she screams, pushing him out of the room and slams the door on her face. Her legs fell weak, and she falls to the floor and tears flow down her face. She covers her month, trying to block out the noice, she doesn't want Charles to see her crying. Just then her phone bings from under the bed. The crawls to the bed and pulls it out.

She asked again and he could hear the desperation in her voice. She put one hand on his chest "Please…" Her voice cracked as a tear fell down her cheek. Nicklaus got suddenly confused. Why was she crying all of a sudden? "Please…" She begged again. Nicklaus didn't know what she was begging for but seeing her cry felt like a knife twisting in his heart. Without thinking, he wrapped his arms around her but that seemed to have made things worse as she suddenly burst into tears at his gesture. Her whole body shook while she cried and Nicklaus froze in place unsure of what to do.

Nico stated, started pushing the swing. "You are right, I look happy outwardly but not inwardly, I harbour a lot in my heart that I can't even speak to anybody about it. It's so tiring." She vented angrily, and was at the verge of tearing up, she was trying so hard not to cry. Nico was surprised at the sudden change of mood, he stopped pushing and sat beside her. "Holding back those tears will do no good. Cry as loud as you can, nobody is going to hear you, I promise you will be okay afterwards."

I know Nicole must have fallen asleep by now so I had to be careful and quiet while opening the door. As soon as the door closed behind me, the light went on and in shock, I turned to see Nicole sitting on the bed. But that wasn’t all, her face was red, eyes swollen and puffy like she’d been crying. “What’s wrong?” I asked as I took a long stride towards her. She shook her head and sniffed, wiping the tears from her face. “Don’t tell me it’s nothing, Nicole, no one cries over nothing,” I said and she sniffed again.

My heart ached as I held her close, stroking her back and soothing her. "Nancy, you’ve been so good. I love you very much. I will never leave you, Nancy. You have to believe me.” It took a long time, but Nancy finally calmed down. Only then did I ask, "How did you get those bruises?" Nancy’s eyes darted toward Stephen’s parents, filled with fear. She stayed silent. Furious, I turned to face them. "What happened to her?" Stephen’s mother, Melissa Smith, shrugged nonchalantly. "That brat wouldn’t listen, so I gave her a few smacks. What’s the big deal?"
