“To our luck, they remained functional after centuries lying dormant. It’ll be operational in five days once we clear out the rubble.”
“You have until tomorrow afternoon to finish everything,” Aurelius said. “After that, we launched them by sunrise.”
“Understood,” Cutler said.
Launch? I asked in my thoughts. What did he mean by that? Weapons, maybe?
“What about Rockflower?” Aurelius asked. “Any signs of their movement?”
“None,” Hikaru replied. “Perhaps they’re still on the defensive.”
So, they were in a hurry. I went around the table and placed each glass at their side.
