Where We End And Begin Novels & Stories

“And it’s only the beginning.” And with that, their story—filled with love, struggle, loss, and triumph—ended on a note of peace, promise, and endless possibility. The End

Not because I’m forcing them. Because something is reacting to them. To the idea of them. To what they represent. Connection. Continuation. “Define beginning,” it says. The question catches me off guard. Because it’s not a rejection. It’s a request. “A beginning is…” I hesitate. Because how do you explain something so simple— In a place where it’s never existed? “It’s when something starts,” I say. “Start implies prior absence.” “Yes.” “Absence is termination.” “No,” I counter. “Absence is just… before.”

And we are here, stronger than ever. Our story did not end. It only truly began in the golden light that Elora brought into our lives. THE END

The knowledge is in the space between them, in the air, in the accumulated weight of all the mornings that have come before. --- This is not the end of anything. The last chapter of the story is not an ending—it's the continuation, the ongoing present tense, the life moving forward into the next morning and the next Tuesday and the next Sunday sofrito and the next thing that happens to them and that they build from. The last chapter is the chapter that acknowledges that there is no last chapter, that the story goes on, that the only ending is the one they stop telling. This is Tuesday.

he said. I looked out at the view, then back at him. “This is what?” “This is where it ends,” he said. “And where it starts.” I understood what he meant. The last threat had been neutralised, and there was nothing left tying us to what had been. This was not an ending; it was a shift. I slid off the bike carefully, standing beside him as the others did the same. No one spoke immediately; they did not need to. The silence held everything.

He declares. "Someday works for me," I say, leaning into him. We stand there as the house settles into silence, thinking about the journey that brought us here. ***The End****

All of us. Together. And the future stretched ahead, bright and full of promise. Ready for whatever came next. Because we were stronger than any storm. Braver than any fear. And loved beyond measure. This was our story. Our happy ending. Our new beginning. And it was perfect. Absolutely perfect. THE END

"I don't think this is the ending." "No?" "No." He kissed my forehead. "I think it's just the beginning." And looking at that photo, at the life we'd built from a contract marriage and corporate warfare and near-death experiences, I realized he was right. This wasn't our ending. It was our beginning. And I couldn't wait to see what came next.

The future remained unwritten. And somewhere beyond the final page, countless new stories waited to be told. The End. Or perhaps... A New Beginning.

“…we can’t…” “…we won’t…” The energy surges toward us— faster— stronger— endless. And this time— there’s no clear enemy. No single target. No core. Just— everything. “…begin.” And we move. Together. Into something unknown. Into something unstoppable. Into something we might not survive. But one thing is certain— This isn’t the end. Because if we fall— there’s nothing left to stop it. And if we win— we won’t be the same people anymore. Either way— everything changes. Forever.
