I see at least five men fall on the ground, and I get busy keeping away the ones attacking me. Oscar gets furious as he watches his guests leaving one by one. He scolds his men and orders them to kill me and Jennie. I look at the watch again— two minutes. We’re done for it. I see some of our agents enter the hall, shooting Oscar’s men. One of the enemies come to me, pushes me hard and I fall to the ground. He jumps on me and gives me a punch that pulls me out of reality for a few seconds.

They were people I cared about, and that thing slaughtered them. Oscar cocked his head to one side, his lips pursed thin. 'Whose fucking fault was that, Casey darling? Because that thing wasn't there for them, was it? It was there for you. And don't talk to me about them boys dying, 'cause that hurts, I'm telling you it hurts.' He slapped a palm down over his chest in a gesture and almost did look hurt.

His men wanted to stop him but they were too late. Swoosh! Guns were raised and loaded. The black muzzles were all pointed at Oscar and the other guards. “What the…” Oscar’s expression froze on his face. It was a sunny day but he was shivering like it was winter. His face turned pale as he was stunned on the spot; the same happened to his men. One wrong move and they might be shot to death. “Asking for what?” Albert asked. “Uh… I-I am not asking anything,” Oscar stammered.

The image kept moving on, bringing him to one particular scene that would haunt him for the rest of his life. It was the scene where Oswin outran him, pulling his body into a hug. His body was tied to a chair, so it was hard for him to run. That was when Oswin came to help him. And that was also when the lethal weapon shot Oswin. The gunshot's sound was still ringing loud and clear in his ear. The shot that was meant for him penetrated Oswin's flesh instead. They tumbled to the cold ground together, but only one of them got hurt. And that person wasn't him.

I see Oscar in what look like a hospital bed looking pale and bandages all over his stomach where I shot him. "Are we even now?" Oscar with a mad smirk on his face. "You didn't have to shoot me you asshole?" Oscar said before I could say anything. His eyes were drawn together and lips are curved. I could tell that he was really not happy. "Oscar is just a little gun shot, you've gone through the worst. Don't be so dramatic, besides it's believable that way. " I plainly play out his emotions. "I did what you asked. Now give me the damn island. Amber drove me nuts. Don't forget to get rid of that bitch!" Oscar says clearly not in his best mood, while taking off the IV attached to his arm.

Matthias reached into the small of his back and pulled out a second gun, one Oscar hadn't even noticed he was carrying. "You know what? Let’s ditch the old-fashioned way. Same outcome regardless." Matthias said. Without a second of hesitation, Matthias pulled the trigger. The gunshot cracked through the cold night air. The force of the bullet sent Oscar spinning backward. He hit the water with a heavy splash, the black tide swallowing him instantly. “Now, where’s the girl?” He straightened his coat, and walked back toward the warehouse, leaving the ghost of his brother behind for the second and final time.

He let out a wicked laugh, his face terrifying—a shameless, middle-aged man. But before Maximillian could move, the sound of the first gunshot echoed loudly in the silent night. Olivia gasped. Oscar was capable of anger and shooting. Time seemed to slow as she watched blood begin to flow from Maximillian’s arm. Oscar was not playing games. Oscar still held the pistol, his eyes sharp, as if their hope for survival depended on that one shot. A second gunshot broke the silence. This time, the shot hit Maximillian’s shoulder. It was a warning shot, a decisive blow that made Maximillian stagger.

He drove it in and pulled it out in an instant.

Oscar, unfortunately, died in the same drive-by shooting that killed Micah’s uncle, a useless gang-related incident that had nothing to do with any of the people who were injured or murdered that day. “Losing my Oscar broke me up inside,” she admits sadly, “But that boy needed a mama just as much as I needed a son. I already loved him to pieces, so it only made sense that I take him in. I wasn’t able to keep him out of trouble entirely,” her lips twist ruefully, “so often our boys get mixed up with the wrong kind of trouble.
