Wife Goes Black Novels & Stories

Blackwheel said, feeling awkward that he had invited a strange woman to join him in a meaningless journey that involved them moving their feet slowly. "I will be glad to take a walk with a stranger," the woman smiled. Blackwheel led the way in short, quick strides, his right foot kicking out first before being joined by his left foot. "Do you have a husband?" Blackwheel asked the woman just to be sure that he wasn't making any wrong assumption about the woman. "I had a husband before but not anymore," the woman replied. "He is not with me now. He is dead." "What killed him? How did he die?"

“Mrs. Black has been shot. We need you to take us to the hospital.” “I got you.” They followed him then. He and Carlos gently situated her into the car, laying her down on the seat. Elayna got in last, and put Mrs. Black’s head in her lap while she continued to apply pressure to her wounds. The police were beginning to surround the building. Now he could hear the sirens. “Drive, Carlos. Now!” Carlos didn’t need another telling. He stepped on the gas and within ten minutes they were at St. Mary’s Hospital admitting the Mayor’s wife.

I promised her we would meet the next day, for now, I had to go to the hospital, and get back before 7pm. Surprisingly, I walked out of the house, without any of the guards stopping me, well until I got to the gate, where there was a black car sat prettily, it's door opened as if on its own. "Mr Blackwood gave us orders not to let you out of the Villa alone ma'am, get in, I'll take you where you want". My brows twitched, I couldn't even go anywhere without Black monitoring my every move, I peered into the drivers seat, I recognized the driver, the one that picked me up from my apartment that evening.

Kiran asked urgently as he caught his breath. "She's fine!" Yvonne replied, relieving some of the tension in the room. Kiran let out a deep sigh of relief, his energy draining rapidly, causing him to collapse back onto the bed. Lilian, too, was too exhausted to move. Meanwhile, in another location, a woman dressed in black spit out a mouthful of blood and fell unconscious on the ground. Next to her lay Sawyer Sinfield and his wife, both still in a deep, unresponsive state.

It was when they went close that the two men recognized her and gasped out loudly. The two men were simply dazed! Rohan could not believe that the astonishing woman at the dinning table was his wife, she was beautiful before yes! But what is this, he could not describe what he was seeing. The woman was still sitting down, and they were gasping out loudly, what will happen when she stands up and expose her legs and back? The woman could not understand why they were gasping at her, was it because of her cloths? Or her slightly different look. She knew that she looks different but not enough to elicit such responses.

"Mrs. Wallace Sr. How have you been recently?" Tia asked. She looked embarrassed as she met Mrs. Wallace Sr.'s eyes. "Don't worry about it, Tia. I'm fine. Luna's been here taking care of me. Please don't pretend you're fine when you're not in the future, okay? It's worrying," said Mrs. Wallace Sr. with some agony in her voice. Mrs. Wallace Sr. had overheard that Tia had gotten pneumonia and was at the brink of death due to her delay in getting treatment.

His words were fists that blacked out both of my eyes. I absorbed his words with my usual calm exterior. My poker face was the best in the game, my thoughts impossible to read. The only person who could gauge my feelings was my wife…because I allowed her to really see me. My insides turned to lava and burned my guts, making my intestines black. The heat wasn’t a byproduct of rage. It was just an intense wave of disappointment; of a truth I already knew but refused to believe. Our relationship had deepened and everything seemed perfect…but that opinion was one-sided. No matter what I did, she would never feel differently toward me. That was the devastating truth.

“You asked me to fight, but you’re the one who didn’t.” “Baby girl,” Black said, teary-eyed. “There’s no forever in that endearment. We’re done!” Grey yelled. Grey put his belongings into the car and drove off. Tears streamed down Black’s face as he sat on the street. He couldn’t believe that their relationship ended that night because of his cowardice. He stopped crying when the gate opened. Seeing their housekeeper, he approached her. “Auntie, what happened?” Black asked curiously. “Your sister kept vomiting non-stop. She’s pale,” the housekeeper said.

The officiant passionately recited the wedding vows. Just as I was about to say, 'I do', a shrill voice suddenly rang out. "I object!" Everyone turned around in shock to see an emaciated woman rushing onto the stage barefoot. "I'm your wife! How dare you marry another woman?!" Seeing her frenzied state, I immediately positioned Sarah behind me and mocked Lisa without courtesy, "I'm impressed you still remember we were married. Unfortunately, you were too blind to see what you had. You threw away something valuable for worthless trash.

"Isabella, if it's a real problem, call an ambulance. I'll have a driver sent. But I can't leave right now. What I'm dealing with here is more important." The line went dead. I stared at the screen as another wave of pain hit me. More important? More important than his wife's life? I struggled to get out of bed, trying to make it to the living room for painkillers. But as soon as I stood, a violent spasm of pain sent me crashing to the floor. The floor was cold. My vision started to blur. With my last bit of strength, I dialed 911. Everything after that is a haze. The wail of sirens, a stretcher, the blinding white lights of a hospital.
