A stake made from the wood of an old, rare tree. He had done some research and came up with three possibilities, a tree called St. Helena Gumwood, and a tree called Dragon Blood Tree, and the last called Agarwood. They had a plan to get pieces of wood from all three trees. Unfortunately, they were all rare trees, so getting pieces from them was going to be difficult. Warren said that he had a way to get them, so he had left to go get what they needed.

Then they walked slowly and carefully. “There must’ve been a battle here recently,” Kael said in a hushed voice as they spotted dead bodies … human bodies, all headless, with dark blood mixed in the snowy ground. “How on Earthos … did they manage cutting these huge trees?” Gared asked, looking around them. “It would take a long time cutting even one of these with just an ax.” Kael furrowed his eyebrows as he kneeled and observed the sliced surface of the tree. Then he said, “They didn’t use an ax, Gared. This one had a clean cut. Perhaps they used magic.”

He says in between gasping through the pain. “Can I ask if this tree has small apple looking things on it?” He nods, I turn to the healer “Manchineel, also known as the tree of death. The sap is what is causing this blister like effect around the wound” I say pointing to the area I am speaking about. “The problem is we can’t leave any trace of it inside the wound so we will need to flush it and the area already infected from the sap must be cut away” her eyes go wide before she starts to shout orders to the other healers.

Charlie raised an eyebrow, “so, how do we take this heartbeat and use it as a weapon to destroy the lich?” Madeleine shook her head, “But if we take the heartbeat of the tree, it will die. I think it would take more than just one heartbeat to kill Najak and even if we somehow find a way to do that, the tree would die in process…we would have eliminated the threat but lost our home in the process” Her words made us fall silent as we began reflecting on what could that mean. We had already seen the black liquid pooling around everywhere and beginning to devour the life. Only the area around the tree was still unaffected but we were running short of time.

My pacing went faster as I stepped towards the light, curious as to what I might see after I passed through this forsaken woods. What greets my eyes was something I didn’t expect I would see. It was a huge tree, the color of it’s bark is white, not like birch, but a fusion of camphor and marble mixed together to make it’s bark look like a white and shiny glass. The leaves also looked like they were made of glass, yet it glowed a red hue as if red lights were directed to it when there’s no such thing. It’s height is taler than many other trees in the woods, yet oddly enough, I never be able to spot it during my walk here.

I took a step back, unsure of what was about to happen. They began to glow again, brighter this time, and slowly lifted off the ground, floating a few feet into the air. The two of them cried, releasing this blast of power. The power they released wasn’t just a beam but like a large blast. It slammed into the tree I had pointed out earlier, obliterating it. Not knocking it over but obliterating it. Then the blast kept going, ripping through trees, rocks, and anything else in its path like a magical wrecking ball gone rogue.
