Novel & Cerita William Hall Library

“I don’t know. And I won’t make claims until I do. But I’m looking into it.” I nodded, staring down at my hands. “What do you think happened? Who would do this?” William leaned back, fingers steepled under his chin. “I wish I had that answer. But all I have are pieces. And I’m still trying to fit them together.” The silence that followed wasn’t uncomfortable. It was reflective, almost shared. The next morning, I wandered deeper into the mansion than I had before and found myself in a long-forgotten hallway. Dust coated the floors. A musty scent filled the air.

Tyshawn, William said he doesn't want kids. William's face turned dark when he heard this. He swallowed the food in his mouth hard. Helen tried to alleviate the awkward situation. "Audrey, forget about William. Let's talk about you. Do you want to see a doctor and have a checkup?" I thought, 'Helen, there's no need for me to see a doctor. William already has a child. 'Just not in my belly.' The words were on my lips, but I didn't know how to say them.

’ Sammy popped her head around from the booth beside me where she had just finished cleaning, ‘You wanna do more school work that wasn’t even assigned? ‘Samantha!’ I laughed, stepping out of my booth, ‘I want to know more about the pack and what life was like here as it was growing to what it is today.’ Mrs Wilk smiled, ‘That’s lovely, Amelia, I wish others felt the same way you did,’ she glared at her daughter who simply stuck her tongue out to retaliate. ‘The library is a good place, it’s a ten-minute walk from here. You won’t miss it, it’s right by the Town Hall. Actually, I would also say the archives in the Town Hall could prove useful too. ’

There was a ladder which the library workers used to access and take care of the books, and I wondered just how many books were held in this library. Billie led us deeper until we got to an empty hall. "It's huge, right?" she said, taking in my expression. "I once got lost during my first few times here." I found a small rag and dusted the large desk, while Billie took care of the seats. "There's probably a billion books here," I muttered, and she smiled. "Thirty thousand four hundred and twenty-one," she said, and I furrowed my brows. "What?" "Thirty thousand four hundred and twenty-one," she echoed. "That's how many books we have in here."
