Whispers of Frost and Fire

Whispers of Frost and Fire

Then—an explosion. The fire surged, twisting unnaturally, moving with purpose, as though it were alive. A wave of heat slammed into me. I turned my body, shielding the child as I rolled out of the way, the flames licking at my back. Pain flared, sharp and searing. My wolf howled in agony, but I clenched my teeth. I could heal. The child couldn’t. The fire withdrew as quickly as it had come. I forced myself to my feet, gripping the girl tightly in my arms.

Accidentally Bound To The Heartless Alpha

Accidentally Bound To The Heartless Alpha

Activating the ocean tank, I began to breathe underwater as I swam towards the ocean floor. "If the Deep flight water Falcon is leaking, it must have crashed or hit the ground,” Hawk suggested, trying to see the ocean floor illuminated by the moon's gentle light. It seemed as if the moon goddess herself was aiding me in saving her servant, the Seer. Groups of fish of various types swam past me, as if I were invisible. The sight was breathtaking, but there was no sign of the water falcon. I swam as swiftly as I could to another location.

Eclipsed Hearts: The Chronicle of Shadows and Stars

Eclipsed Hearts: The Chronicle of Shadows and Stars

“It responds to you… like it’s alive.” “It is alive,” Maelis’s voice echoed suddenly. The seer stumbled into view, her staff glowing faintly, her robes scorched. “The blade carries the soul of the first starborn. Serenya, it will only reveal its wings to one who dares burn for love and kingdom alike.” Wings. The word seared itself into Serenya’s mind. She looked at the blade—and then, impossibly, luminous wings unfurled from its hilt, spectral fire woven from starlight. The wings wrapped around her like armor, shielding her from the next surge of dragonfire.

Taming the Fire Dragon

Taming the Fire Dragon

I roll when I feel my fur burning, quickly extinguishing the fire on my body. I look around, hearing the yelps of other wolves as they also try to put out the fire on their fur. Water rises out of the ground, and I see Morgan pushing her water element toward us, helping to put out the fire on the burning wolves. Her mate, Aithlin, was one of the elves who helped to dig us out of the trench. I hear another scream of agony, and I see Kenna blasting her fire at Kenzo and Laiken. And then I see her, high in the sky as she faces off against Kenna.

Kenna and Yhendorns story was a long time coming, and it was everything I could’ve hoped it’d be! Thoroughly enjoyed reading this book - although every story by Cooper is truly a great read. So excited for what’s to come! As always, author - amazing job! :)

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

THE LAST SHIFT: A Werewolf without a Wolf

You cannot… It didn’t finish, because the fire moved from us. The white blaze poured outward, sculpting itself into form. Wings, yes, but not of flame alone. They carried weight, shape, bone made of light, feathers cut from fire. They unfurled behind us, vast enough to brush the hollow walls, each beat scattering roots like brittle twigs. The girl gasped, her voice a ragged prayer. “Saints… you’re… ” But she couldn’t name it, neither could I.

Time to Spread My Wings

Time to Spread My Wings

" They hopped in their car and peeled out, leaving me alone outside the venue. The wind bit into me. I tugged my coat closer and waved down a cab home. All my stuff had been thrown outside, dumped across the doorstep like garbage. The maid looked sorry as she said, "Mr. and Mrs. Swain told me you have to leave and never come back." I didn't charge in to yell at them. I just packed up quietly, then walked away with my things. That very night, I got on a plane out of town, heading to a hidden research base run by the National Space Agency. Just before I left, I texted everyone, "I, Wanda Swain, am officially done with the Swains for good and by choice."

The Chronicles of Wolves and Fire

The Chronicles of Wolves and Fire

His mouth never stopped its series of long, drugging kisses that seemed to steal her will and arouse him beyond all human boundaries of need. Pearl found her hands clutching his wild mane of hair, hanging on for dear life as the firestorm raged around them, through them. His hands cupped her full breasts, slid along her ribs to her belly, found the triangle of curls below, and caressed her thighs. Everywhere he touched he left flames behind, on her skin, inside her body, until she wanted to scream for relief.

She's My Fire

She's My Fire

Mine. “Mate.” I said, with a voice of longing. Willow’s hair started floating like an unseen force was causing it to rise. Hot air was flowing from her, and I felt like the final piece to my puzzle was about to be placed. Following her instinct, Willow held her palms up to meet mine, her entire body ignited like a torch. Blood red flames mixed with no other colors as it surrounded her. Her fire burned like mine. It was as if heaven and hell opened up and poured power down onto us. Our flames intertwine around each other like a cyclone. Blue and red were blending, turning so hard and fast that everyone around us was nothing but a blur.

THE FIRE LORD

THE FIRE LORD

I excused myself when Sebastian and Claire started staring at each other like they wanted to eat each other’s face and I wasn’t in for something X-rated. “I’ll just be out here…if you need me, which you obviously wont” I picked a glass of water and stepped outside. It was like they were just waiting for me to leave, I quickened my pace towards my car when smooching sounds grew louder. They were really going to swallow each other’s faces at that rate.

Wingless and Beautiful

Wingless and Beautiful

“Do you like them?” “Love them,” I whispered. “If you could only see them too.” Tears welled up in my eyes. I really wished he could see where we are right now. It was a place as magnificent and as perfect as he was. “I would rather see your face as you look at them. What I wouldn’t give to see it right now,” he said in a sad voice. I leaned forward and gave him a hug. “Thank you!” I whispered. Then I reached up and found his lips. He kissed me thoroughly... right there… in the middle of the fireflies.

Beautiful love story, one of the most unique plots I’ve read so far with. Very touching & emotional but still realistic. Also it’s rare plotpoint that Hero & heroine are each other’s firsts. Technically well-written - no grammatical errors! Wish there were more Hero’s POV, but loved it anyway.

Wow, truly beautiful story. Started out fast and kept improving. Cried a lot in the beginning (had to pause until I calmed down). Also, laughed at times. The characters were very mature and I’m glad Hunter and Alice were able to overcome the trauma in their lives. Well written. Worth reading.
