The photograph showed Ayesha at what appeared to be a gallery event, in the cluster of people near the drinks table, talking to a man I didn't recognize. That was unremarkable. She talked to men at gallery events regularly, as she talked to everyone, with the open, grounded ease she had built over years of running a space where people came to be in conversation with each other and with the work on the walls.

Ashley called. "Hmm" "You know, you shouldn't let anyone bully you especially when they don't worth it" Ashley said, fixing her gaze on Claire. "She's a weakling, she's got no choice" Claire mocked, looking at Ashley directly in the face. She wondered why Ashley was so daring. Deep down, she was excited.
