“Why are you looking at me so alertly? I won’t do anything to you right now.” What he said sounded like he wanted Fane to be at ease, yet it was a complete power show. Fane frowned; this person did not come bearing good intentions. He had no idea who this person was as he had only joined the Dual Sovereign Pavilion recently. He could not have offended a chosen disciple, either. Fane could only gesture politely with his hands out of his mannerism. “May I know who you are?” Griffin raised his eyebrows. “I’m a chosen disciple, Griffin Olsen. Remember this name; you’ll be hearing it often in the future.”

I’ve been back home for weeks now, throwing myself into work, trying to prove I’m more than the mess Jaxon left behind. But being here? Leading the pack? It’s exhausting. My wolf mourns the bond I had with Jaxon, even if I don’t want to admit it. Even though I know I’m better off without him. Griffin strides over, wearing his usual shit-eating grin. “So, you ready to get out of here yet? I’m dying for a drink somewhere that doesn’t involve people kissing our father’s ass.” I snort. “You know this is for the pack. Not everything’s about ass-kissing.”

His senses were trying to locate her whereabouts but her delicious scent was everywhere. "No, I'm not allowing you to do this!" Griff protested but moved anyway. In the past he had paid dearly so he knew never to take Xander's threats lightly. When Xander was about to exit at super speed, Griff boldly grabbed him by the side then used his entire weight to lift him from the ground and they both tumbled and rolled. Griff had Xanders head pinned under his arm while his legs held Xanders body motionless.

Why did it sound like a mythical beast's name instead? "Who the heck are you?" he asked again. Griffin removed a crest from his waistband. It was a crest made of pure gold, and the letters "NK" were engraved on it. Cassian recognized the crest instantly. It was the Titania Crest. "You're from the Draconian Order?" "Allow me to formally introduce myself. I'm Griffin, one of the Four Draconian Warlords in the Draconian Order," Griffin stated. His introduction left Cassian reeling from the shock. Ever since he joined the Draconian Order, he had been able to learn the structure of this particular organization from Nino and Leon.

Gunshots ring, but none of them even touch the creature because of the shield. "That's a griffin! From the Witches guild..." I say as realization dawns on me. The griffin, the shield, the vines! "Holy crap!" I yelp. "Those two called the witches." It makes so much sense because now as the shield surrounding the griffin shatters, I can see two people sitting on its back. Both men are dressed in the uniforms given in the Guild, and one man jumps off the back of the griffin to engage the guards with various protection spells.
