she yelled as he took her to the car, zooming off. "Answer me. Where are we going? Stop the fucking car!" Griffin didn't reply until he drove to a dangerous club. He forced her in, and his eyes scanned around the men inside. They were all tattooed, with a menacing aura. "Here is a bitch for you to fuck. Do a good job," Griffin said, and Phoenix's eyes widened in terror. "Griffin!" Phoenix yelled, but the man left. One of the dangerous men dragged her back, throwing her onto one of the tables. She fell, hurting herself, crying.

Eric's lazy voice sounded especially heavy in the night, enough to suffocate a person. Grix—full name Felix Griffin—was the fifth child in his family. He made a living doing dirty work that other people were too afraid to touch. He often said that his hands were soaked in blood. Grix immediately tried to please Eric. "I'm nobody worth waiting for, Mr. Hammond. Say the word, and I'll give it my all as long as I can manage it." Eric was unimpressed by his devotion. "Take someone out for me." Grix grinned. "Easy. Who?"

Griffin was a dangerous wolf, one who still held a minor feud against me. I hadn’t been very surprised by the news, but it had set my teeth on edge, knowing that the young Alpha had been close enough to Pixie that he might have done some serious damage. It was one of the reasons that I had hidden Amber away from Pixie and the rest of the pack, not wanting word to get out the strange wolf Griffin had anything to do our pack business. Griffin and his pack were a small pack in the East with a minor feud against mine in terms of boundary. But I hadn’t known how to explain any of that to Pixie, and it had landed me in hot water with her subsequently.

I dialled Sphinx's number and he answered on the fifth ring. "Yes Phoenix?" I heard Sphinx's real voice. "Do you know where Griffin is?" I asked straightforwardly. "No, why? Is there any problem?" He asked. "I'm with Eagle right now. It's a very long story but we need to find Griffin now. As in now Sphinx." I answered him. Sphinx said that he will do his best to find him. I went back inside the house again. Lindsey was still sleeping when I checked on her. Griffin is the techy member in our group. It would be a lot easier if he left us some clues or notes. I really hope Sphinx will give us an update soon.

I was hanging on a thin thread and my patience was wavering. "It is his Majesty your grace. Lord Xavier of the Northern kingdom and ruler of it's environs." Griffin at this point was not in any way humorous. Was he kidding me with the introduction or did he want me to vent on him. One glance at me had him cowering his head down. I was in no mood for friendly banters and he had never dared to engage in such folly with me that was until now. "That will be all for now Griffin. You are dismissed until you fully recover from last night's ordeal."

"We can get ice cream, but we need to make a quick stop first." "The man with the red pen was weird," Griffin said, his voice small. "He asked if I was happy living with just a mom." My blood froze. Walsh had spoken to him. The secretary either hadn't known or hadn't wanted to alarm me further. "What did you tell him?" I asked, keeping my voice light despite the thundering of my heart. Griffin shrugged. "I told him it's just me and mom and Rocket." Rocket—his stuffed raccoon, named for his obsession with space. "And that you're the best mom because you help me build robots and don't get mad when I take things apart."

“The more he tries to sweep this under the rug, the more it’ll burn. Felix isn’t rational when his pride is threatened.” Grace made a thoughtful sound. “I’m also certain the Morells are going to come after you for this. They’re not going to let you humiliate their golden boy without consequences.” “The more the merrier,” Wren said confidently. “Wren Elizabeth Austin,” Grace drawled almost ceremoniously. “May the record show I’m officially intrigued. Since when did my fun-averse corporate-samurai best friend develop a taste for such high-stakes fun?”

I asked, already seeing where this was going. “Damn right,” Kingston chirped, his tone reckless, eyes alight with mischief. “That Deathrider bike we got you wasn’t for f**king decoration it’s because of him. We didn’t want it to be this soon, but Griffin’s been strutting around like he runs the streets. We tried hiring bikers to knock him down, but hell, nobody could. And now?” He gave me a taunting smirk. “Now he’s calling you soft. Saying Rehab washed you up, and if you’re really the fiery rider from years ago, you’ll challenge him.”

Way to make things worse, Grif, I thought. "MATE!!!? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN, MATE? WHO IS THIS?!" Chance demanded. I grabbed Griffin's hand to calm him. "This is Griffin, future Alpha of the Savages Pack so you better calm your ass down and show some respect." he snarled. I heard Chance gasp at the news and there was silence for a moment. Then I heard growls and crashing that seemed to last forever but actually probably only lasted a few minutes. Finally, there was silence again and I heard Chance take a deep breath.
