I quivered awake from bed in an heavy breath and perspiration all over my body. I gasped in and out making an heavy sound. I looked around the room, all in good state then I strained my hair to the back, face down as I dropped my elbow on my kneel. "Arrgh!" I growled, ruffled my hair, whimpered, and gasped continuously again trying to recover from the horrible nightmare. I made a throaty sound as I heard the sound of a twist in the door.

I can remain busy through the day, distracted with affairs of my people, and my women, but in the end, I return to this darkness and here… here is where those nightmares return to haunt me. I close my eyes as the memory of Friya’s stomach being stabbed fills my mind…

Freya once thought that he nightmare ended once she broke out of the queen’s spell. To her horror, it didn’t. Her subconscious was broken, unable to get past that chink in her memory. She was still screaming as her mother’s body thudded to the ground with a sickening sound, and she was still screaming as her father’s body followed. The nightmare amplified the grotesque scene, the blood rapidly seeping out and seeping into her hiding place. Her eyes bugged out of her mind and she tried to get away but there was nowhere to go.

"Freddy, are you okay? His eyes were closed and he seemed frozen in place. His abilities allowed the wounds on his cheek to start healing but his body was beaten badly. I started crying when he didn't respond, the worst thought going through my head. Please wake up, we are finally free. I heard people come into the room but I didn't glance at them because I was too focused on my soul mate lying in a puddle of blood in front of me. I felt soft hands gripe my shoulders and attempt to pull me away from him.

Eager for revenge, Carren strangled Ruby. Jay lifted his chest, but Frederik pushed him back. "Hahaha, don't try so hard, asshole! We've been on the streets longer. We're more dangerous than you think! You see her?" Frederik pointed his head at Carren, smirking. "Carren is a baby-eating creature. She's got a lot of experience breaking older people's necks. That little girl is like a bug to her." Jay growled violently. What energy he had left was concentrated in a single headbutt. He smashed his forehead against Frederik's nose. Frederik's scream followed the crunch of broken bones as he finally disappeared from Jay's body.

Walking down them you could easily tell the temperature drop and the moisture in the air became more prominent. The smell of mildew grew stronger as I went lower and lower down in to the cells, but what caught my attention was the shouts. “Tell me!” The sound of metal slamming together echoed through the tight hallway and I knew instantly who the voice belonged to. “I would rather die than speak to your kind you mutated fucking bastard!” Cassius came into view and so did Eladia who was gripped on to the bars she was held captive by. Both looked like they could rip each other’s heads off if given the opportunity.

Frederick yelled as he threw the glass across the room. "I am sorry boss.” Biggy apologized. "Sorry?! Sorry for losing her?! Now someone else has her! And you were so foolish that you didn't even follow the abductor!" Frederick snarled at him. Fury crashed over him and he clenched his fists so hard that he could almost feel his knuckles cracking. He had sent Biggy and two other men to kidnap Ria without leaving a trace. He ordered them to bring her alive at all cost. He had hoped to see her and end her life once and for all but things didn't work out as planned.

A sigh of relief escaped my lips, and I let my neck fall backward to the wall and closed my eyes, relieved. My chest heaved up and down. My tank top and my hair were glued to me due to sweat. Suddenly, a wave of drowsiness ran through my body. My eyelids became heavy again. I shook my head and opened my eyes, only to see the room circling around me. Black spots came into my vision and before I knew it, I was falling unconscious again.

Saint snarls. I open my bleary eyes to a searing pain in my wrists, ankles, and across my chest. I'm hogtied on the floor of the jet in silver chains. Freddie is hogtied unconscious next to me. He looks pale and has dried blood coming from his nose and mouth. I listen quietly. I can hear his heartbeat, so I know at least he isn't dead. "What the fuck? Saint, what happened?" I groan. "I think the coffee was poisoned. Come on, get out of the chains. We need to get up."

That last part was a courtesy of nightmares that had shared the bed with her. She was with Alejandro, in their massive bedroom and reaching out for him on the bed. But he was a bloody body filled with bullet holes and glassy eyes. She screamed and tried to run off the bed, but his lifeless fingers grabbed her arm. She had managed to free herself and run off the bed, only to run into the arms of Freddie who stood with pale skin and bloodshot eyes. “Let me go!” she had screamed. “Never,” he had rasped into her ear with vigour.
