After about an hour of searching, Freddie found a room that looked filled with holding cages, as wild animals that to his horror held his friends, soldiers with whom he used to train. Pale dragon shifters, barely alive, almost naked, some even mutilated and with missing limbs. Freddie felt his blood boiling with the fire of revenge at Y but he had fellows to save first, so that is what he did. He allowed Nathaniel and Gideon to open the cage doors for them and then helped them make a beeline towards the path he had taken to reach there, so he could get off of the island with the survivors he had found.

Why couldn't he vanquish this unyielding man? With a wicked grin, Kendrick sneered, "If you insist on getting up, I'll break your bones and see how you stand then." In a gruesome display, Kendrick shattered Frederick's legs, then his arms. The sickening sound of snapping bones filled the air, chilling all who witnessed it. Frederick remained eerily silent throughout this brutal ordeal. His eyes fixed on Kendrick with a cold intensity. Kendrick felt a primal fear as if being watched by a prehistoric beast. Frederick's gaze was more menacing than any creature in Mt. Kamwall.

We all looked like we had been through hell and Lord knows I felt like it too. “I had the weirdest dream last night,” Freya visibly shivered at the thought of her dream before continuing her narration. “There was this weird woman …kind of pretty but pure evil if you ask me. She had fangs and everything all topped off with a tail. Not even a small fail no she was like half woman and half serpent looking,” Both Damien and I simultaneously spit out our coffee with my cup hitting the floor with a loud bang before breaking into small pieces as my brain processed Freya’s words .

I sniffed. “I was almost raped by my own mate and also got beaten up by him. Was it the alcohol or that’s he is? I can’t decipher. You know..it was fine to hit me all you want but not Freddie. He was innocent. Only to wake up this morning -“ I paused and bit on my lower lips. “Only to wake up this morning to the news that Freddie is dead!” I screamed out. Kayden was surprised. “Freddie..oh Freddie car got hit by a truck. We killed him!” I cried out.

I’m your nightmare. I quickly turned around ready to leave this alley when I bumped into a hard toned chest. Looking up I felt my heart sink deeper into my stomach as I felt color drain from my face. I paled as I felt a strong fatigue coming. “Did you miss me bunny” the same voice that was behind the shadows said but this time I could see his full face and the sight of him made me nauseous, my dread, what I had always feared had returned. Leo Miller.

He would probably be an evil spirit if he were outside. Freddy's eyes turned white light for a moment signaling Rowel's spirit back into his body. Freddy sighed looking at the slightly smeared ground, he needed to calm his mind. He looked back at the night sky, he had to be careful. The spiders are not just one but thousands!

Author’s POV It wasn’t freddy. It wasn’t Freddy but his own hallucination. Due to the past mental stress and exhaustion his mind was filled with the thought of freddy coming back into his life and running everything he has now. And eventually that evening he ended up being tricked by his mind which played him well.

They made me so scared that I couldn’t be alone for days afterwards; I had to pee with the bathroom door open for goodness sake! I could hear her chuckling. “Please, Lucia? I really want to see it,” she begged, I could imagine the puppy dog look on her face right now. Freddie was giving me a quizzical expression so I put my hand over the mouthpiece and whispered, “Dawn of the Dead.” He widened his eyes slightly before giving me his smirk. “Don’t worry, Angel, I’ll protect you,” he whispered confidently, making me smile. “Lucis, please?” Kate begged again.

I could easily close my eyes, pretend I’m on a beach somewhere and take a nap. And then probably wake up with my house on fire. Yawning, I push myself up and go onto the porch, taking cover in the shade. Freya rubs against my legs, and I reach down and scoop her up. “I see you finally forgave me for making you miss out on the action.” Freya and Pandora were not happy to be babysitters while Binx got to come out and fight the undead. “Next time,” I tell her. “You know there will be one. Hopefully not reanimated corpses, but demons or something less messy to kill.”

I needed it so bad that I could cry. I got out of bed quicky and rushed to the windows. I slid them open and dashed out onto the balcony, immediately taking in a deep, long breath. I wasn’t normally this shaken after a nightmare. Maybe it was because I knew I didn’t have any milk this time to supress my emotions, or the plain fact that I was now actually living in the house of the man who was my greatest subconscious fear. He had already left for Mexico, but his presence was still heavy in the mansion. And everybody here worshipped the ground he walked on. Wherever he was, I was never going to be free.
