One minute it was plain, the next, it darkened considerably scarlet, as if soaked in blood. Fear paralyzed my limbs, multiplying when I looked up to see the wolf with the red eyes right in front of me. It growled louder and reared on its hind legs, trying to clamp it’s paws on my hands. I woke up with a start, screaming at the top of my lungs. Sweat gleamed on my forehead, compliments of my exertion. I panted, gripping my sheets tightly with fright.

"H-hey, I'm f-f-fine. It d-does-sn't hurt at all", yet he groaned in pain when someone touched him. "My mate is in pain and all you're doing is crying? Do something or give me control of your goddamn useless body", Jasmine shouted in my head, "you're the motherfucking Moon Wolf for a reason dummy!" She was being hysterical but it was justified.

The tattoos sticking out of his neckline extended to his face as his eyes completely turned black. The werewolf slowly got up with a cut on it's face, blood dripping down as it lowered it's head in a painful whine. The man gave a low and long growl and the werewolf quickly dashed into the woods. Hilda couldn't take her eyes off the man with the white hair and weird face painting. “I know who you are!”

Eloise’ POV “This is exactly why I told you to leave because you might not be able to endure it.” Rufford whispered as he moved away and got something… a scissor, maybe? “Ohh… damn…” I felt a tear roll down my cheeks while I looked above me to suppress my emotions from rushing through my heart. Just the thought of him ripping off my skin was making me want to just cry. “Can you please put me to sleep?” I tightened my grip on Tyrone’s hands. “I do not want to go through all of this awake! I felt like I’m going to pass out.”

The white glow in Kael's eyes brightened. And the voice spoke once more. "My name is Zaka, Kael's wolf.”

He opened his mouth, and from the very depths of his tiny chest, he unleashed a sound that shattered the festive atmosphere of the entire town square. It was a deep, terrifying, double-toned sonic vibration. It wasn't a standard pup whine, and it wasn't a common timber-wolf bark. It was the legendary "Wolfe-style" royal growl—a unique, anatomical vocal resonance that could only be produced by the thickened vocal cords of the direct, pure-blooded heirs of the Supreme Alpha lineage. It sounded like a rolling thunderstorm mixed with the snapping of heavy iron chains.

Well, it's not like I started it. “Ahhh!! What is wrong with me today!” I shouted, jumping onto my bed and flopping down like a little kid having a tantrum. I knew the answer: it was the disgusting sight that fool had forced my beautiful eyes to see. Now I had to sit and eat in front of that man, how did he even do it with that girl, that's probably why she was crying. I guess it must have hurt, which felt truly sickening. The same wolfman twisted my arms behind me, and I grunted, “Oh hell no.” Lifting me to his face, he asked me about what I had said, and I hissed. Then I asked, curiously, why he was being so rough, which gave him pause. “Considering that you are a Vaewolf, female, I highly doubt that this even fazes you,” he asserted as I continued to stare into his dark, unmoving eyes. Refusing to blink, I raised my black brow and the corner of my mouth at him for not faltering as well.

I took a deep breath and continued, “But I do have one favor to ask. Can I please have some wolfsbane?” She looked back up, meeting my eyes, studying me, and cocking her head to the side. While she was human, Hugo told me that she knew about our kind. He and my mom were not the only werewolves she employed. “What do you need wolfsbane for?” “It’s personal.” I wasn’t telling her shit. “What form do you want it in?” “What forms does it come in?” “The two most common are dehydrated and a concentrated liquid—usually we sell the liquid form in darts.”
