I can't stop Romeo as he takes control to make sure she knows who she has invited into her home and her bed, or should I say her body. I am not as stable as Julian or Victoria. Snow whimpered in my mind, the impact dazing us both. The rogue approached slowly, his teeth bared in a cruel smile. Get up! Snow urged, her voice cutting through the haze. I forced myself to my feet, blood matting the fur on my side. Snow growled low, her eyes locked on the rogue as he circled the pit. Suddenly, a blur of dark gray fur collided with the rogue, sending him crashing to the ground. Lucas. His massive wolf stood over the rogue, his golden eyes blazing with fury. The rogue scrambled to his feet, but Lucas was faster, his powerful jaws clamping down on the rogue’s neck. With a final, sickening crunch, the rogue went limp.

Dagen POV My whole body feels like it’s on fire. We’re all staring at the screen, watching everything unfold, watching the way the rogue moves around her like she’s something valuable, something worth saving. My wolf is pacing, snarling just beneath the surface. I want to stop this. I want to shift, go into that trial and tear the rogue off her. She agreed to this. Despite everything, she agreed to let a rogue knot her. A rogue. “She must really hate us,” Vane mutters.

The rogue whined, grabbing Lucien’s arm which he held onto as though he was more than ready to tear it off. The rogue made them both fall backwards and he let out a very loud growl, one that didn’t just show his anger but also dominance. The moment he looked up into the skies, Lucien took control. He brought out the metal object that Finn had given him earlier and without even checking what it was, he pressed it into the rogue’s throat. Just then, a louder growl came on and Xavier appeared. “Carla?” He whispered, stepping forward with his eyes ingrained on the wolf.

He circled around me carefully, staying just out of reach of my teeth. "Shift," he commanded. I bared my teeth at him. "I said shift." His voice was harder now. Alpha tone. The kind of voice that was supposed to make wolves obey. My wolf wanted to listen. Every instinct in my body wanted to submit and shift and do whatever this man said. But I was not some pack wolf who had been trained to obey since birth. I was a rogue. I had survived twenty years by not submitting to anyone. And if I shifted now, I would be naked. In front of two strange men. In a dungeon.

Leo didn't say anything but instead, hugged her and she was engulfed in his scent and both of them stayed there for minutes. While the rogues alongside Leo and Valerie were resting, they heard sounds coming from the bushes. Everyone stood up, clearly alerted. Leo had already shielded his mate behind him, and was ready to allow his wolf take control if it was imminent danger. The trees revealed a group of unfriendly rogues, growling at them. After all, Rogue was born with the greatest manipulative strategies anyone could ever perceive. My tone was several octaves deeper, Rogue spoke in a very crude voice, "You will not take a step away from that space, Sky. If you do...I will fuck you into a mess in that same space." Lesley rolled her eyes at Rogue and I. I...was never the one to perform a sin, have unconsentual love with anyone in this goddamn world. Even the beast has his own morals... Rogue crawled back within me as I stared at her retrieving shadow.

Rogue 1 gasped, shellshocked as he watched his ally die by this unknown werewolf’s claws. “Hey! Who the hell do you think you are?!” Rogue 2 demanded, shifting into his own wolf form. The large wolf suddenly shifted into human form and grabbed Rogue 2 by the mouth, clamping it shut, before grabbing his neck with his free hand and roughly slammed the rogue into the ground headfirst, killing him off as well.

“Is that the reason you remove them from the pack?” Thrumming my fingers on my desk, I made an annoyed grunt and said, “Vaewolf are rogue and don't assimilate to a pack. They follow their own rules and follow their own drum beats. Now enough about them. Go train with the guards and take your pal Nathan, or go to the village bar and have a drink,” I stated. As he stood, he smiled. “So Nathan's cool because he is just a vampire and you don't want to share your good liquor.”
