The air rushed out of him as he doubled over in agonizing pain, his face turning an ugly shade of purple as he collapsed to his knees, clutching himself on the floor. My hands shook so violently I could barely breathe. Tears of anger and deep disappointment stung my eyes as I frantically scrambled to pull my clothes back over my shoulders, fumbling with the broken zipper. Another dead end. The realization crushed me. Escaping Creed’s world was going to be so much harder than I ever expected. "You're stupid..." Marcus wheezed from the floor, his voice shaking with venomous rage as he glared up at me. "You're so damn stupid. You must pay for this. You're going to pay for this!"

ELIAS’ POV “Shit! I always knew you both were up to something. So, you tricked Scarlet just so you could have coverage here, and work out your evil plans.” I voiced out, feeling rage inside of me. Ralph chuckled and let out a satisfied sigh. “Well, I guess you were smart, but Scarlet turned out to be dumb, and it turns out that she was all we needed to make things work.” Ralph scoffed, and smirked. “Regardless of whatever favor Vincent has done for you that has made you this loyal to him, you need to stop what you’re doing now. Did you grow up dreaming about hurting people!”

Zane stood behind me, watching, and his frown deepened as the kiss took a little longer. "Thank you," I whispered after pulling away from the kiss. I bit my lip in anticipation of making up for lost time. "I'll be with you shortly," Ralph said, taking a deep breath. He wanted more than just kisses. I loved that I still had that effect on him, even after many years. *** Ralph drove back to his hotel. He needed to finish his surprise package for Aldwin. He smiled wickedly at the thought of Aldwin's expression when he found out Kora and Zane were nowhere to be found.

Things that could blow up in my face. Lunch ended and I headed to gym class. Coach had us running drills and I pushed myself harder than usual trying to burn off the energy that had been building since Saturday night. Since the library. Since I tasted her and made her come apart and ruined myself for anyone else. My wolf was obsessed. I was obsessed. It was a problem.

Marcus raised an eyebrow but left. That night I sat in my penthouse with a glass of whiskey, scrolling through old messages on an encrypted app I hadn’t opened in years. “S” she had called herself. The woman who made me laugh at 2 a.m., who understood the weight of expectations, who disappeared the same night the Hart scandal exploded. “You’re the only person who makes the world feel quieter,” I’d typed once. Finally, someone couldn't stand it anymore and snatched the glass from his hand. "Enough! You just had your stomach pumped yesterday! Do you have to treat your life like it's worthless? "She's only been gone a few days, and you're already destroying yourself. Why don't you just call Mabes and fix this?" Ralph's expression darkened even further. Under the silent stares of everyone present, he grabbed a bottle, chugged it down, and smashed it on the table before storming out. The cool night wind did nothing to calm Ralph's blazing fury.

Ralph POV With Alison’s hand in mine, we made it to the ward, not sure of what to anticipate; was it going to be a win or a loss? I had no idea, as soon as I re-entered Alison’s ward, talcum powder flew in our faces, followed by confetti, Iris started to blow a vuvuzela, which I had no idea she had brought to he ward. “Congratulations, Ralph,” Mike said, “You are our Alpha again for another 4 years; nobody can wrestle with that.”

He was just like them, and I’d been nothing but a pawn in their game. “Since you came here, my school year has been a nightmare. And you believed in Ralph? He’s my boyfriend, you bitch!” Her words hit me like a punch, leaving me breathless. Ralph… her boyfriend? Ralph didn’t say anything but began to tie my hands to the tree. Hands that had touched mine so delicately were now binding me without a hint of hesitation. “You were easy to fool, Winter,” he said flatly. “Did you think I’d trade a two-year girlfriend for a transfer student like you? Hell no.”

Asked Ralph as he unlocked the door to dump his luggage. "No, I'll stay back, " she said, going inside too. "Suit yourself, " he said, walking off to the master bedroom. Raven saw another bedroom and went inside it. She locked her door and lay on the bed as tears fell from her eyes. Ralph's behavior hurt her more than Frank's ever did. She couldn't stop her tears. It felt as if her life had lost its meaning altogether. Why did she have to fall in love with him?
