I'm in charge of my own destiny, the one thing my paternal grandparents told me that I took to heart. I make my own path in life and get to choose who is beside me as I journey down that path or I can go it alone. I'm happy for my little sister, falling in love and having him turn out to be her mate is great for them. I just don't see that kind of thing happening to me like that, it was the situation at the moment that made their paths cross. So I don't think that counts as much towards the whole fated thing, it was just an accident of life.

“After Liam’s mother passed—she was the King’s sister, my sister-in-law and best friend…” Her voice softened, trembling slightly. “I vowed to raise him like my own. So when I heard he was kidnapped, I lost control. Anyone could see how exhausted I was. I never wanted this life. I never asked to be chosen, cursed, or bound to fate. And now I was being told I had to face my own sister in a final battle. Her life was tied to mine. And without killing my own twin sister, the world would fall into flames. Why couldn’t we live normal lives like everyone else? Why did fate have to be so cruel?
