She was indeed God-sent. I told Nina about my dreams to become a great writer like her someday and she encouraged me to try my hand at my first book. I read one of Nina's books in New York titled STIGMA and I fell in love with it. I never knew I was going to meet the writer of that book someday. Nina had been my role model and the thought of it was motivating me. I began my first book without informing Nina. I didn't want her to know. I wanted it to be a surprise to her. I didn't want her to discourage me by going through the book before I was done writing it. I felt her criticism might discourage me from going on.

— She winked, mischievously. Without taking the smile off my face or losing my creative streak, my fingers slid across the keys of my laptop as the words appeared on the screen and took on a life of their own. As much as publishing my first physical book was a dream that would soon come true, I could never abandon my roots, where I first became interested in reading novels and started trying to write something. The fanfics. — Cazzo! — I cursed, a little startled, and rolled my eyes as I looked at the bottom of my laptop and checked the time. — I'm missing lunch! — I almost screamed, so desperate was I.

he whispered. “I see there are a number of unpublished writers in the audience,” Anna started. “My advice is to try the traditional route first before paying someone to print your book. The road to fame and fortune has many potholes along the way.” Much laughter and applause from the audience elevated the mood momentarily.

Dear Readers, As I sit down to write these words, my heart is overflowing with gratitude. This book — my very first — is more than just a story. It is a piece of my soul, carved out over years of unexpected challenges, personal storms, and quiet triumphs. There were moments when life felt too heavy, when writing seemed impossible, and yet, somehow, I kept returning to these pages.

As I sat at my desk, staring at the computer screen, I couldn't believe my eyes. I had just posted my first book on a popular writing website, using a username that wasn't my real name. I had been nervous about sharing my work with others, but I had finally worked up the courage to take the leap. At first, I didn't think much would come of it. I mean, who would want to read a book written by a complete stranger? But as the days went by, I started to notice something amazing. People were reading my book. And not just that, they were loving it.

I want to write the story of a man who understood exactly what he was doing and who he was doing it for, and who did it anyway, and who was right. I write the first page in one sitting. It is not the first page of the book in its final form; it is the first page I write, which is the one where you discover whether the voice is there or whether you are going to have to build it, and the voice is there from the first sentence, which surprises me and does not surprise me. It was the best kind of job for me, I loved it and I got paid weekly, enough to eat, after my first paycheck, I had spent a full week starving, I tried to ask for my money beforehand but my boss who’s the meanest person ever, said no. How could such a cold hearted person be responsible for one of the best places in the world! I walked over to the children's books area, I was thankful no one was around as I sat down in a beanbag after grabbing a few books to read.
