ANOTHER THING I've struggled with a lot, is character development. A character can't instantly change after one event, the change has to be somewhat gradual and also believable. I also need to remember I can't give the same expressions or 'talk pattern' to the characters since the narration is from their point of view. So in a way, I have to change my writing style each chapter depending who's perspective is shown. So yeah, this entire interaction between Jace and Ava, alongside everyone else makes it quite the challenge, but one I am willing to take in hopes of becoming a better writer.

I have no idea where she gets the time to sit down with a book, even a digital copy. But in every situation, she’s always ready with a character description for anyone standing around.
