Say, the way a character grips a pen, the way she hides a smile. The old man in the street with eyes that crinkle when he smiles. The little twinkle in her eyes when she spots the male interest…”

Hanna mumbled seeming caught off guard "What's your writing process like?" "For me it's really about establishing character first and then setting up the storyline. I've found that if I don't make real relatable characters then the plot line doesn't really matter because it can't save the overall quality of good character building." That didn’t sound convincing at all but saying it out loud helped a bit. After I recovered from absolutely pessimistic, I drank my coffee-slash-breakfast and got back to my writing. I choose not to thoroughly adapt my book character on Toms handsome looks. I did it for the sake of my sanity. After my “marvelous dream”, I knew that picturing him as a murderer living next door will lead me straight to agoraphobia. I was going to focus on the personality… at least for a time being. I spend the entire day on writing my story up to the point of murdering my very own Mr. Preston by the main character.

However, she handled it well enough. One thing that I love about writing is seeing the characters develop. They begin as a basic design that gets filled in as they explore and experience. I can honestly say that they always end up quite a bit different than the original design was. As such, our main characters turned out much better than I had initially anticipated.
