Writing Contests 2025 Novels & Stories

I'll be posting prompts for story openings based on our ongoing contests, successful outlines and designs, and if you are up for it, take it and write it out~ Come back to me with your own story and I have contracts to offer~ (well, if you already have a senior editor with GN, go to them :P -------

I ask, starring into her dark brown eyes. "Well, the fiction competition has a specific topic." She says, getting up and walking over to a filing cabinet. Miss Edwards is about 5' 5" tall and very well proportioned, with a thin waist, flat stomach and a tight, curvy ass. Her ass gets as much attention as her tits when the guys are discussing what they'd like to do with her. "The subject this year is ethics and morals. You'd have to write a short story with a main character who is struggling with a moral dilemma." She says, handing me the entry form and rules. I rushed inside, crossing the corridor to quickly stash my belongings in my locker. "The Full Moon Contest!" I whispered, grabbing hold of the advertisement. The contest was scheduled for this upcoming full moon, targeting those who had recently turned 18 or were even older. It was set to take place in a few weeks, during which the school would be focusing entirely on our werewolf activities.

She couldn't spend the rest of the year listening to a chorus of kissing sounds whenever she walked into a room. "It'd be easy. We can start by printing up some flyers on the school's printer," Charlie said. "Where would we have people send the poems?" Mary asked. "It'll look kind of strange if it's one of our houses, won't it?" "We can use my cousin's!" Jonas said. "She lives in Washington, D.C. That'll make it look real official. The National Poetry Writing Contest, in the nation's capital." "And then you'll tell Lucy?" Emily asked. She sounded uncomfortable, even disgusted by the idea. "That it's all just a prank? A joke? When it's all over?"

said Betty. She unzipped her handbag and took out a flyer Marietta had given her. "Look, this is the competition I'm talking about. It's a short story contest that will be announced to the public in a few days. "However, this contest is a last-minute thing being held in Marietta's honor, so the timing is very rushed. They want submissions next month. "Take a look and see if you want to participate in it. Your short story is only about a few thousand words long anyway."

"Getting this paper out of the way will be a huge relief. Cause for celebration, I think." "Oh?" I ask as Holdo Hall comes distantly into view down the road. "This Saturday, the public library is hosting a literary event. It's this big gala for writers – authors of both nonfiction and fiction. Award ceremony, dinner, open bar. The works." I feel my eyes widen. "Are you up for an award?" Suddenly, Harlan looks rather uncomfortable. Shifting in his seat and clenching his outstretched hand around the steering wheel, he responds, "Not the big one, but I'm being recognized as an emerging writer."

She wore a blazer. No pants. “She’s a visionary,” River whispered as Marla declared the office open by shouting, “Let the truth games begin!” Skye couldn’t stop laughing. “We really are raising a tiny dragon lawyer.” The NY office launched a youth writing program that exploded within six weeks. Thousands of applicants. Half of them from underserved schools. All of them hungry. Camilla was flown out to teach poetry once a month. Carrie hosted a publishing workshop. River and Skye Skyped in from LA, answering questions like:

And not just for the first year.” At the suggestion about a full scholarship, Emmie smiled. “Thanks, Mr. Queens.” “Did you send some of your photos to the contest you wanted to enter?” The girl exhaled as she nodded. “Yeah,” she mumbled and took a seat. “I haven’t heard back though.” “Didn’t you say they’d announce the winners at the end of July?” “Exactly.” She sipped her water before placing it on the wooden table. “But don’t they have to talk to the winners privately at first? I probably didn’t even place twentieth, there were like thousands of submissions.”

My shift will end soon. And I still I have to finish my final draft for the writing contest! It’s due next week. I thought. I joined the “Writer's Luck” contest to win $700. Not only that, you'll be an automatic member of an elite book club called “The Golden Phoenix” wherein you will meet many personalities and big people. Also, this club could aid you find a sponsor or a publisher to publish your writing. And I think this is a tremendous opportunity to pay off the debts of my aunt. I hope luck will be in my favour.

Please don't worry- there are always chances to get glimpses of those smaller moments in more detail in future books or possible bonus stories. Now for the question everyone's been asking. WHAT'S NEXT!!?? I am taking the month of November off from my current series to participate in NaNoWriMo. For those who don't know what that is, I'd like to explain. NaNoWriMo is the National Novel Writing Month. During November, writers from around the world will challenge themselves to start a new project and write 50,000 words in 30 days! This is the first year I'm going to give this a try. I've got a group of other authors who are doing this with me, and we are going to support each other through the p
