I felt a coldness settling over me, a finality that silenced the internal screaming of my wolf. "From start to finish, those were my words, Elara," Nyx snapped, stepping between them and my bed. "Xender hasn't said a thing against you. But I see how it is. You need a villain so you don't have to face your own guilt. Well, look at me. I’m right here. Stop bullying a man who’s literally bleeding out for your name."

I felt like a child, exposed and humiliated in front of my sister. Sienna and Beatrice wasted no time in bursting into loud chaotic laughter which made tears build up around my eyeballs. “I eat as much as I need to survive this family, Mr.Julian, I snapped back with trembling voice and controlling tears acting as a shield for my crumbling pride. “Perhaps if you spent less time at the gym and more time on your personality, you wouldn’t have to buy a wife.” The room went deathly silent. Beatrice gasped. Julian’s eyes narrowed. He stepped closer leaning down until his lips brushed against the shell of my ear.

The Redmoon library became my only sanctuary. It did not go unnoticed. Xander once said to my face, "You think reading will make you worthy? You’ll always be the accident." He was the golden boy. Alpha Xavier's pride. My twin in blood, but never in spirit. He had Father’s face and fists. I had silence. The worst part? No one ever knew. Our bruises healed by sunrise. And those who dared to question? They were either paid off or vanished without a trace.

I can feel him, and fucking smell him on my trail, but if he doesn't back the fuck up I'm gonna punch him. I keep going, until we're deep into the forest. Axton gets a hold of me, spinning me around. "Can we talk about this, please?" he asks. His eyes are wide and wild. They're glossy. Is he gonna fucking cry? "If anyone gets to be upset, it's fucking me" i point to my chest, jamming my finger against it. "You bullied me, fucking hit me! For years!" my voice wavers slightly, and my chest starts to heave while my arm falls down. "You were terrible to me" it comes out as a whisper.

I barely resisted a smile as I watched her sit comfortably in her seat, looking as if she belonged there. We were about to take off when I received two texts. The first one was from Ryder. Reading it was pointless since I knew he wanted to confirm whether or not I was going to meet with him. The second one was from Tony… I opened it in an instant. “I found the news you wanted,” Tony wrote. “We can scratch Ryder off the list. He had a broken arm when Josie's incident happened. Now that you know, it is only up to you. Will you meet with one of the guys who bullied your current girlfriend?”

It had become part of him so that he no longer did it deliberately but subconsciously. “Too much reading of dictionary as if people won Nobel Prize speaking with bombast” Emelda snorted with laughter. “He is the only guy I know that intentionally reads his dictionary” Emelda shrugged. And imagined and talked to herself more. Ben could hear some sounds but would think she was on call.

She watched the entire scene unfold. “Nothing, we were just joking around.” Xavier laughed loudly. Katherine obviously did not buy any of his words. “I saw everything. Mister Xavier, as a PE teacher, how could you bully your students?” she accused coldly. Katherine also loathed Xavier. His perverse character was widely known among the Six orthodox sects. “Miss Katherine, you must be mistaken!” Xavier bitterly smiled while pretending to be innocent. “How could I bully a student? I was just playing with him. If you don’t believe me, you can ask the other students.”

Alex teased cruelly, his eyes gleaming with satisfaction at my discomfort. “Why do you keep doing this?” I asked, wishing I could make my voice stronger. “Why do you keep bullying me!?,” I continued, my voice growing weaker with each word. “Because it’s fun,” Sandro shrugged as if it was the most normal thing in the world. Sandro leaned into me closer, “Remember graduation day?” My heart leaped. For days I had cried and assured myself that I wasn’t filthy and cheap like they made me feel, and after successfully moving past it, he made the memories come rushing back.

But what was he thinking? It's the first time he laid a close look on Gabbie. "I was lost for a while there," he whispered to himself.
