I swim over to Mae and pull her up to the little space that’s left between the ceiling of the room and the mass of water. “What are you doing, Xander?” “Give me your jacket!” I pull it off her and swim over to the source of the voice. It’s Darius. He takes it from me and we swim to the bottom. I see Xaden dive right after us. The second the hole in the ridgeline between the floor and the wall is clogged, the water stops rising. Darius Raken is still distracted. Xaden comes from behind and breaks his neck. The Founder's body drops to the floor as we swim up for air through the bloody water.

The four of us stand up when five extremely large men walk in. “I am Kaden, and this is my cousin Alek. These two here are Brent and Lance.” I say. “Hey, I am Curtis, and this is Venom,” Curtis says. “I am Quade, and this is Zion. I am assuming you know Chaos.” Quade states.

When I turned around, finding that familiar and handsome man staring vicious daggers at the pair behind me, I fought the urge to smirk. Xaden stood with his arms crossed; his shirt smooth and tucked into his dark slacks. His black hair was slicked back, away, and cleared from his face. His green eyes narrowed on Damien. “She has one beast, and it’s me. So why don’t you, manage your wand and your…” Xaden gives a vicious smirk, “What is it, Girlfriend? Friend? Or have you finally divulged into fuck buddies?”

ADA “Ada, get back,” Dad yelled as he pulled me behind him. The eerie silence that lingered in the compound was broken by the sudden intrusion of the Xiray. Its skin, an inky shade of black, was the very embodiment of darkness. Its eyes were like deep, empty pits, within which swirled an otherworldly energy that sent shivers down my spine.
