I glance back to Tobias.
“This is Atlas,” Xander says, pointing to the small black wolf. It’s made from some kind of stone, glittering in the light from the string lights. “A moon to represent your home here in Bloodmoon.”
He pauses again, blushing more deeply.
“And my heart, because you were going to be taking it with you,” he says, clearing his throat slightly.
My heart melts. My chest feels too full, and my fingers tighten around the crystal heart. His heart.
