MAY

MAY

Maryam pointed at the yellow book sitting on the shelf just outside the bookstore. "Why?" May queried. "Isn't that Half of a Yellow Sun written by Chimamanda Adichie?" Iby asked. "I want it," Maryam whined. "Mtcheww. Leave me oh. I’m here to only buy oranges." May said, walking towards where the oranges were sold. Maryam began crying. Iby turned to her. May represents a large number of women that are constantly abused in their homes but still manage to smile and live through it. I hope women in similar situations reading this book get some of the happiness that May gets.
The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful
