A Crush I Can't date (My Goodnovel Crush)

A Crush I Can't date (My Goodnovel Crush)

Books by John Grisham, Sidney Sheldon, Colleen Hoover, James Patterson and Ted Dekker. Jamaal Amir Haidar reads novels, crime most especially. I'm even shocked to see he reads Colleen Hoover's books too. I picked one of the books and began to smell the fresh scent of newly printed books. The door opened suddenly, Jamaal stepped in with little Ahmad in his arms. The little boy had his hands wrapped around his brother's neck. I stared at Jamaal in shock, seeing Jamaal holding his younger brother, trying to lure him to sleep shocked me.

Amara's Diary: When Nothing Free Ever Lasts

Amara's Diary: When Nothing Free Ever Lasts

It was my loss. "Really? What's its name?" "Child of the Mountain." Amara's eyes sparkled with interest before dimming slightly. Hmph, it's not that impressive. Amara hummed."Hmmm...what is that about?" Arima-san opened and closed her mouth perhaps mentally summarizing the plot in her head. "Surpassing amazing parents." Amara clapped her hands together, her eyes twinkling. "Ah! So... the parents are the mountains? I see, that sounds like a good read."

Obsession

Obsession

' The book was titled, 'Zaryaab' after the name of the male lead of that book. Sheharzaad's grey eyes again fixed on the sky, witnessing the birds. As the sun reached the horizon, the sky was a mix of orange and blue. Her mind was wondering to Shehryaar. Where was he? Should she apologize? Or should she wait for him? She found herself guilty in this situation. She should have broke it on the very first place to Maaz that she was married instead of going for that lunch. She knew that Maaz was interested in her but she was just finding the right time to reveal it to him and to everybody that she was married that too to Shehryaar Haider Syed.

Luna Pretending To Be Blind

Luna Pretending To Be Blind

A crazy attempt at a revenge scheme, if I was not mistaken. "Well, Yara," I muttered, my facial expression grim as we stepped outside into the fields. "The game is damn well over now." YARA's pov I had a couple of my things as well as Jeremiah's packed and ready to go --we could always get new things when we travelled-- and at evening time, while everyone was resting, I went into his room to fetch him so we could leave while no one was paying attention.

Freedom Again

Freedom Again

I felt my heartache at his words, I really had no choice. After all, I was homeless. "Assirem," I answered, using the name my father used to call me. The name that I always adored. It's 'hope' in Tamazight. No more Karima, this would be my name from now on. "Okay, little hope, I am Aylan, now I hope you forgive me for my foolish actions," He said before picking me up and putting me on his back with my stuff in another.

MAY

MAY

Maryam, still on her school uniform, tugged on May's sweater as they passed a bookstore. "What is it now?" May asked. "Buy me that book." Maryam pointed at the yellow book sitting on the shelf just outside the bookstore. "Why?" May queried. "Isn't that Half of a Yellow Sun written by Chimamanda Adichie?" Iby asked. "I want it," Maryam whined. "Mtcheww. Leave me oh. I’m here to only buy oranges." May said, walking towards where the oranges were sold. Maryam began crying. Iby turned to her. "Are you seriously crying because you want your mom to buy you a book?"

maramartha
May represents a large number of women that are constantly abused in their homes but still manage to smile and live through it. I hope women in similar situations reading this book get some of the happiness that May gets.
The Dream Elixir
This book was beautifully written and I enjoyed it so very much. It made me feel so many things and I was on the edge of my seat for most of the while because I really wanted the best for May. I felt so much anger towards Edric, uncertainty towards Tega, and love for Edric. definitely insightful
