“Simon, you are a hopeless rake. Have you not enough women in your stable of friends already?” he asked, his voice more clipped than he had intended.
“You don’t mind, do you? Were you and Anna more than friends?”
“I knew Rai, not Anna.”
“The blind one?”
Gideon narrowed his eyes. “Yeah. You got a problem with that?”
Simon chuffed. “No. She just seemed so aloof— not at all your type.”
