The man nodded, walked towards the desk and took a seat on the wooden chair. He finished filling up his name and other information, setting the scroll down on the desk. Jade neared him and read what he had written on the scroll. His name was Chad, a surname that was uncommon in the island city. Kaylar took a deep breath, savouring the crisp air of freedom as she stepped out of the hospital. Her body was still weak, but her mind was sharper than ever.
