"It cost triple, and I think I threatened a federal agent's family dog," she said calmly, handing it to me. "But it's done. The jet is prepped at the airstrip. The car is waiting out front."

Jacky looked behind and said to Katherine who had taken down the gun from her hand long ago. "No, don't do this, you guys can run away somewhere, but don't kill Zac," Jazzy interrupted in an urgent tone because she started to like the man, and there was a bright future she had seen in her head already, which could be turned into reality as long as Zac lived. "Keep your desire to yourself otherwise I will feed you to the shark roaming in the ocean and then dream of increasing your money in their stomachs," Jacky hissed.

Her hands were all over me, like she was trying to see if I was going to feel any kind of pain. I almost chuckled. I took her hands in mine immediately. “I’m fine, Violet,” I told her, and she seemed less stressed. But that didn’t remove the frown lines that were on her forehead. “Are you guys trying to get him killed?” Mira asked, looking around. I looked around one more time and saw the other person that I wanted to see so badly. Jackie. “Did you put something in my syrup?” I asked, and she bit her lip, wringing her hands together. Her ponytail flicked as she moved, and the sun kissed the highlights in her hair. There was a practiced sheen to her appearance that said she took value in looking the part, even for a fight. "Hi." I greeted. "Humph." She rolled her eyes before they switched back to her Alpha.

Snapping back to the present, she said, “Werecat? Like werewolves? That can’t be real.” At the mention of werewolves, both Laura and Luke flinched, visibly disgusted. “We are nothing like those hounds,” Luke said, his voice smooth, the sound vibrating in Jackie’s bones. “We can control ourselves. And, not to mention, we smell much better.” A laugh broke free from Jackie’s lips, sharp and disbelieving, bordering on manic. ‘I’ve lost it. All of this can’t be real. These people are crazy! I need to get out of here. I need to find Drea.’

Jack have a not so subtle cough, letting Jill know he was back in the room. "Jack!" Jill screeched. She stopped singing immediately. Her cheeks turned red. She was highly embarrassed. "Jack, how long have you been here?" Jill quizzed Jack. Jack smiled back at her, "Just long enough." Jill could die she was so embarrassed, "Can you give me a minute to get out and get dressed please?"
