"Paranoid," I said, "Afraid that I’m being watched all the time. That someone is taking pictures of me when I’m not looking, or filming me without my consent. I can’t…I can’t live a life where I’m constantly looking over my shoulder, wondering if someone like Nathan is lurking in the shadows."
His grip on my hand tightened and his thumb brushed over my skin in gentle circles. "You won’t have to," he said, his voice steady, "We’ll make sure of it. Nathan’s not going to get away with this, Lydia. I’ll make sure of that."
