His Mask, My Sin

His Mask, My Sin

When Help Learns the Locks POV: Matteo I always thought paranoia would feel dramatic. Sweaty palms. Wild eyes. String maps on walls. A muttered speech about patterns no one else can see. Turns out real paranoia feels organized. It looks like Aidan rerouting system permissions. It sounds like Ezra listing vulnerabilities in calm tones. It feels like me standing very still while a distant glowing point politely demonstrates that it can touch our infrastructure whenever it wants. The projection remains faint.

Alpha Nektarios Hated Human Mate

Alpha Nektarios Hated Human Mate

“You have a lot of nerve, growing something with those filthy hands of yours on my land. In my home. Who the fuck do you think you are?” “A person who loves to live and appreciate life!” I bellowed back in rage as it occurred to me that he was the one who ruined the garden the first time. “I didn’t ask to be here, so if you do not want a garden to flourish in your stupid land, you should do away with me.” I sucked my teeth, ruffling my hair as series of emotions busted inside me. “why am I not surprised? What would someone like you understand by what it means to breed something to life and flourish? I bet your life is as miserable as those dead plants. Being born of an impossible union and t

The Stranger in the Park

The Stranger in the Park

I felt like I could no longer hold back as the tingling sensation continued to escalate. “Why hasn’t she picked up the phone yet? I need to turn it to turbo mode.” That fool had not noticed that his girlfriend had been pinned down on the ground a short distance away. The vibration escalated. I felt a wave of warmth course through me. Inside the haystack, the man was focused on what he was doing, as though determined to explore every hidden corner. Just a few meters away, Samuel continued to pace back and forth. The situation only made me feel even more nervous.

In His Ruins

In His Ruins

Without the constant, low-level hum of tension—the guarded patrols, the midnight checks of the perimeter, and the quiet paranoia of waiting for the council’s next chess move—the days stretched out wide, open, and entirely their own. Nora stood in the small wooden garden plot beside the cabin, her hands dusted with rich dark soil as she gently pressed young tomato starts into the earth. The morning sun was climbing steadily over the eastern pines, warming her back and filling the crisp mountain air with the earthy perfume of damp mulch and blossoming herbs.

Gabriel's Obsession

Gabriel's Obsession

I had hoped for reconciliation, a chance to bridge the gap between us, but instead, I was confronted with a truth I wasn't prepared to face. My hands trembled as I clenched them into fists, my knuckles white against my palm. The once-familiar garden now felt like an alien landscape, its beauty distorted by the turmoil within me. The voices of the breeze seemed to taunt me, carrying the echoes of the laughter we had shared, now twisted into a cruel mockery of what was lost.

Gunnar

Gunnar

Using the distraction, I exited the tent and made my way down the stone-paved path in the garden. We had a beautiful garden because mom had hired the best landscapers she could. A cold chill filled the air, rustling the leaves on the tall trees. It wasn't that I hated nature, I just hated nature in the God damn dark. It always looked like some freaky shit would pop out of the bushes and maybe want to devour my brains. A shiver ran down my spine and this time it wasn't because of the cold. I didn't fear the dark but shit, it could seriously play tricks on you.

This book is a must read. I couldn't put this book down. The characters are very realistic and the story line is something you can actually see happening in real life; especially when you have a dysfunctional family. This book is full of humor as well. I absolutely loved it.

Loved is actually an understatement. One of the best stories I have ever read. Just finished Ace (freaking amazing, loved just as much) and going to finish this binge reading by reading Jericho. Worth reading all night, who needs sleep when you have these outstanding characters keeping you company!

Pandemonium

Pandemonium

I gave her a small smile. " I saw Mofe walking out, is all good?" I nod. "She went to the bathroom". "Okay, then, I'll be back soon". I nod and out my airpods on, my phone dinged. I clicked on the album by Joeboy that Tochi shared with me on Spotify. The beat flooded my ears making me a sudden saccharine rush. I felt a sudden relieve something i haven't felt in totality since that night after socials but that was soon gone when from the wall facing me emerged Lola's ghost. Everything around her was a blur, she was the only clear thing in sight. She had let her high bun out in a fro. Do ghosts change their looks?

Book 2# - Carefully she had wished

Book 2# - Carefully she had wished

___________________________________________________________________________ Rosemary’s POV I slowly make my way through the garden , my thoughts are everywhere but in this world. As if it is in my second nature , I stroll through the garden letting my body direct me to the way out. My thoughts are on Alexander – the handsome yet scary stranger. Something about him felt familiar , a familiar that made my toes curl in fear and make my heart race with anxiety. A little tinkle brings me back from my day dreaming state – I look to my arms to see the little bunny awake. Well I guess I can not keep calling her bunny , a smile spreads across my face making my nose hurt a bit.

The Moonshine Task Force Series

The Moonshine Task Force Series

One day I'm going to have to cry about what I saw, but today won't be that day. Closing my eyes, I focus on my breathing, letting it take me out of my panic. When my hands have stopped shaking and my ears have stopped ringing, I open my eyes and take in the serenity of Trevor's fenced-in backyard. Even though it's December, the grass is green because of the rain and warm temperatures we've had. A fire pit sits in the furthest left corner, a hammock in the back right. As soon as he moved in, his mom planted flowerbeds and they're blooming right now because of the warmth, dashes of color against the greenery of the yard. With a critical eye taught to me by my own mother, I see one of them is b

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

Nanny For The Alpha's Lost Twins

As I read, my heart went cold. Allisstoopid: What a waste of a pretty garden. How awful. Mavis must be so sad. MyHelperz: You think anyone got high off the smoke? Too bad no body was hurt. ShowerSinger453: What’s that? JaneDayviellers: I saw a sketch of the piece Chloe is making for the new garden. It has flames and flowers in it. “Someone has access,” I said. Was it one of the emergency workers? One of the housemaids? Mavis? “Someone on the inside.”
