A warm white light appears on my hands. What is this?

With a cry, she hurls the energy out—not at Arwan—but toward the undead Lycan. The creature jerks. Its massive head turns toward her. Claws twitch. Its hollow eyes pulse faintly, no longer green but… white. Pale. Alert. Arwan’s voice cracks. “What are you doing?” Lumina’s eyes open all the way. They glow. White. Pure. Blinding. Her hair begins to lift around her shoulders, the strands glowing at the ends. Her skin hums with light, no longer blue or violet—but white-hot. Something ancient wakes up inside her, and she doesn’t fight it.

The dreaded King Daniel of the Darke stood in front of the stained-glass window in the castle library with his hands clasped behind his back as Imara started to appear from the mist. Unlike every other witch he’d ever encountered, Imara’s mist glowed white and gold like a cloud on a sunny day. The windows might have been enchanted that any light that goes through it will be converted into a white one that they illuminate the room with white light.
