You’re not old.” She gave me a mock glare. “First of all, rude. Second of all, I mean the kind of genuine closeness I saw between you two. Most relationships these days are so… shallow. Swipe left, swipe right, hookup, ghost, repeat. It’s exhausting just watching.” I sat up straighter, my blush stubbornly refusing to fade. “You’re making it sound way more than it is. We’re not—”
