PLEASE READ UNTIL THE END. Dear Readers, Thank you for reading Charlie and Taylor’s story, “The Bad Boy Next Room.” Writing my first young adult book has been such a fun experience. I loved coming up with the funny moments, but nothing compares to the joy of seeing how they made you laugh. Your comments were priceless, and I’m genuinely grateful for all that you’ve shared with me.

‘Yes, madam,’ she replied in a tone barely respectful. ‘Millicent, while you are waiting, read that.’ She turned the copy of she had been reading, on its head and pushed it across the table, scattering her breakfast crockery and nearly tipping the milk jug over. I rescued the milk and then studied the open pages for some time. I couldn’t concentrate. What was I supposed to be reading? ‘You’ve lost me. It’s mainly ads for high-class plant nurseries, horse tackle and nanny agencies.’

Ashley, his eight year old daughter, has been bugging him for days to have lunch with her at school so they can go shopping for books. "I already went. She wanted me to bring you this." He drops a thin paperback book on my desk that I immediately pick up. "One hundred jokes for the laughing mind," I read out loud. She knows me so well. "She got "One Hundred More Jokes" so be prepared next time she's here."

It's pathetic! He dropped that bomb and strutted off before I could fire back. I could hardly believe my ears that such boneheaded words came from the man I have loved for years. His so-called 'cozy winter promos' were just a table with free cups of cheap black coffee and some giveaway gloves out front. The coffee often went cold, untouched, and those gloves ended up in the street bin. However, Seth, of course, thought they were pure gold. Somehow, I was the one cashing in on Lily's ideas!

“Why would I change when you’ll never stop trying to earn a joke from every situation?” “Isn’t life more fun with jokes? Something to laugh about once in a while. You know, it makes the world beautiful and fun when it’s dark. Studies even say laughter heals faster than herbs do. Lowers pain, strengthens the heart, clears the head. Makes the blood flow freer. In short — that’s why I’m looking younger and living longer. Which of those old people in the pack is as old as me, uh? None. I’m the oldest.”

Luckily it was still in my reach, and in no time, I looked at the cover. “Wilhelm Gray,” I snorted, admiring the author. “You read him too?” I looked to the side, seeing Rael slightly surprised, and if I dared say, intrigued. I looked back at the book in my hand before I nodded. “Of course! His books were a big part of my childhood." From his pleasant mix of comedies and adventure, each book he made stripped away the human condition, alluding to the deeper realities through playful fantasy-like or mystery worlds. They taught me lessons I kept till date, and I was sure even now I could still enjoy it.

“He’ll try calling the companies which sent the books to find out who purchased them, only to find out that his own name is on the buyer accounts.” “He’ll be baffled and angry, and of course he’ll throw it all away – but the outrage will pass after a week or so. That’s when the next set of packages will arrive.” I continue, becoming more animated by the minute. “More self-help books about overcoming the things he would consider most humiliating, in conjunction with supplies to help him improve. Adult bedwetting literature with boxes of diapers; books on how to pleasure your unsatisfied lover along with penis enhancement pills; feminization porn along with frilly dresses and sex toys.

"Mr Philip sent me to give this to you." "Thanks." I collected the book to inspect the front cover, while he showed off some dimples. The book had a raccoon as it's display photo. The raccoon looked thrilled to bits with both hands up and mouth open like it was shouting. The background was yellow, it had the words, 'furiosly happy' boldly written on it. Under the book title, there were word too that said, 'a funny book about terrible things' written in smaller font, while the author's name was Jenny Lawson.
