Trey It has been hours since I last saw Yubi, hours since that impossible, scorching moment in the storage room, and I can’t focus on anything else. The papers, Abel, Naomi, it’s all a blur. Grimacing, I found my phone and turned on the flashlight, then walked over to the window. Outside, two figures stood on the balcony of Unit 601.

A quick motion out of the corner of my eye made me freeze. I turned, trying to make out a figure in the rain. There was someone crouched on a bench, wet. They wore a gigantic glittery hoodie—great pink with way-too-much glitz. There was only one individual who would ever dress this way. Yu Yu. I stood up instinctively, rain drenching me further as I walked towards her. She was sleeping or crying—I couldn't tell. Her arms were wrapped around her knees, her body bent inwards.

The head of the Sunland Martial Arts Association, Okajima, looked grim. His beady eyes darted around, and he fidgeted uncomfortably in his suit as if it were covered in thorns. The phone in his hand was heated up like a hot potato and nearly out of battery.

A lady screamed. ****** As the bartender set a glass of vodka in front of Belinda, Yoko watched in amazed while she swallowed it without making a face and then hit the shot glass on the table before meeting his eyes. “What?” She let out, narrowing her eyes at him. “Huh?” Yoko said as he drew his eyes off her. “You were staring... really hard.” “I am just amazed that's all,” Yoko admitted as he reached for his glass. “By me?” “Yeah, by you.”

I put a hand on his shoulder and gave him a shake. “What?” he snapped at me. His mellow had well and truly been harshed. “Can you stop time so we can get back into the stable?” It took a few seconds for the intensity to drain from his bugged-out eyes and he snapped his fingers. His eyes reminded me of Yuqi, which doesn’t mean I think all Chinese people look alike since the Yuqi I’m referring to is the giant dream monster, not the unconscious girl with the big boobies. Miyamoto Shinji Miyamoto looked Yang Xiao up and down in shock. Yang Xiao was so young that he didn't look like an expert who could kill thousands of people in a row. "Go on. Little Treasure!" Miyamoto Shinei trembled and shrank in the corner, leaving a fishy stain on his lower body. "Don't, don't, don't kill me!"

I hadn’t realized how much I’d missed smiling until I actually could again. I’ve noticed Zayden continued staring at me. His eyebrows slowly disappeared into his hairline. He tilted his head. “Uh…” He rubbed the back of his neck. “I honestly don’t know which version is worse.” He shook his head. “The grumpy Raiden…” He held up one finger. “The mean, obnoxious asshole…” A second finger joined the first. “Or…” His lips twitched. “This creepy smiling Raiden that’s looking at everybody like he just escaped an asylum.”

Leaning my head down so that I could rest it on top of his, I exhale deeply. A knock snaps me out of whatever Kofi cuteness trance I was in and lifting my head up, I see Yohan just by the door. He was leaning against the door frame, a smile on his face It was a weird look on him, his eyes staring at the both of us. It was warm and determined, the same eyes he had when we had that stare fest yesterday. Oddly though, it doesn’t make me uncomfortable. I did mention I was used to people staring. This feels a little different. When others stare at me, I feel like I had to present the best version of myself.
