Zelda’s POV The world was a blur of speed and pain. I couldn’t tell how long I’d been dragged before an iron door groaned open and I was thrown to the ground like a sack of nothing. My hand shot to my belly on instinct, and I gasped, trying to force air back into my lungs. I pushed myself up on shaking legs. “Hey! Let me out of here!” My fists hit the door, again and again, but nothing answered except silence.

Zelda looked into my eyes and said, “Then we go dirty. Very dirty.” I blinked. “How dirty?” She smiled again. “Dirty enough that no one will believe we had anything to do with it.” I raised an eyebrow. “Are you talking about something illegal?” “No,” she said. “I’m talking about something brilliant.” I sat back and nodded slowly. “Okay. I like this idea. But I want to be the one who ends her.” “You will,” Zelda said. “But you must be patient.” I got up and walked to the mirror. I fixed my hair and looked at my reflection. “I’ll wait. But I want her out of this house by the end of the month.”

Zelda "Shut up," mom told me roughly, digging in the cabinet until she came back with a pair of scissors. "Don't fight this, Zelda. I don't want your blood all over my tiles." She started cutting the knots from my hair and I sobbed into my hands, feeling the weight of my hair falling down at my feet. The water was somehow even colder now, biting me in a way that it felt like needles were being pushed deep into my skin. "There we go," she finally announced a while later.

Enni's POV My heart pounded like a drum as I picked up the call from the mysterious lady, Zea. Her voice was hushed as if she held a secret of utmost importance.
