He lashed at Gerald, a blur of raw power and fury, but suddenly, the atmosphere shifted, and the air warped as a greenish, swirling portal opened right behind Gerald. Zeus froze. Gerald's maniacal laughter echoed through the chamber as the portal consumed him. Silence prevailed. The monster was gone. Zeus stood motionless in the ring. Relief flooded through me. He was safe. But the feeling was short-lived as exhaustion slammed into me, my body feeling liquid, devoid of even an ounce of energy. “Anastasia!” Zeus roared as the world around me tilted. Just before darkness took over, I saw him tearing through the silver wall of the cage, his claws shredding the chains as he came for me.

He also wanted to bring out his wings, but immediately after, he felt a sharp metal gliding through his back, his wings were cut off his body by Lucas. “Ahhh! What have you done?” Zeus cried out loud as his only hope of staying at the top was being crashed away, but just as expected he didn't fall. He disappeared and appeared at the top. He made himself float on air, even without wings. His eyes trailed to the side to see Lucas, only to be shocked by what Lucas did next. Lucas dug his fangs deep inside Zeus's wings and drank his blood. “No.” Zeus was irritated by that and wanted to turn his severed wings into a lighting bolt, but he was just too late.

Zeus stared coldly at the scene in front of him. In Europe, he, Zeus, had killed and set fire to every crime imaginable. This was not the first time he had done this, nor was it the cruelest time. Previously, an enemy spy had been captured. Zeus tortured the spy to death and even found the spy’s fiancée. This intelligence agent's fiancee was pregnant at the time, but she was abused by Zeus and the others. When someone discovered this, this fiancee had already bled too much, already powerless to reverse the situation after being sent to the hospital, dying together with her unborn child.

SELENE POV Tears flowed down my face. I couldn't believe anything they were saying. None of this was real! "And honey, the Alpha king isn't Zeus. It's Ben. Zeus died a couple of months ago." I gasped at my mother's statement. How was it possible that he had died so quickly? My father was saying something, but I wasn't listening. I was still trying to princess what they were saying, that I had either dreamt or imagined it.

“That sounds like… choosing himself and it takes so much strength to do that.” I fought back the irritation that flared. She was defending him. Of course she was. “Maybe,” I conceded. “Or maybe he just couldn’t handle the pressure. Either way, Zeus never forgave him. And now…” “Now what?” “Now Zeus is dying.” I let that sink in. “With cancer. And has six months to live, maybe less. And he wants Gavin back. He wants him to take his rightful place before it’s too late.” Her hand came up to her mouth. “Oh my God.”

"What are you doing here Reginald?" "Where is the immortal?" "I don't know." Zeus said. "Have you named him or her?" Reginald asked fiercely. "I've not set my eyes on any immortal." Zeus said. "Good." Reginald said and slashed Zeus in to two with his sword. "Time is her servant." Was the last thing Zeus said before his body fell pathed ways.

"So tell me, tell me what happened next." "Zeus' anger took a toll on him, that he fought Helios and won. Zeus was going to kill him, but Selene begged for him to spare Helios and promised to never see him again. Zeus complied, but he still had a plan up his sleeve." Zander smirked. "What? What? Come on Zander tell me."

He would feel intense pain radiating from his insides with every movement he made. Zeus turned around and noticed Zayn walking toward him with an icy cold expression and an indifferent gaze. He completely lost the dignity of a powerhouse when he began to beg for forgiveness, “Dear respected Rheasian, I don’t want to die. Please don’t kill me, I’m begging you…” Before he could finish his sentence, Zayn’s foot crushed his neck, ending his life right away. Even in death, he could not believe that an extraordinary 4S-class fighter like him would actually be killed by a Rheasian.

"In the process of the struggle, I pushed him against the sink. We struggled and I kicked him so he fell directly on a knife that was stuck upwards. It drove through the side of his throat." Athena nodded. "Alright." "You thought I killed him on purpose?"Ciara asked. Athena shrugged. "I wanted to torture him and make him speak." "I don't think there's any need. Zeus was found dead about ten minutes ago and nobody can trace the scent to anyone. They think he was poisoned by something."
