A Contract The Empire Couldn't Break

A Contract The Empire Couldn't Break

Elena slid her fingers beneath the drawer’s lip and pulled. It opened. Her breath caught, sharp and immediate. The drawer glided out smoothly, without resistance, as if it had never been locked at all. As if the idea of it being inaccessible had been part of the illusion. Inside lay a thin stack of documents bound with an old silk ribbon, yellowed at the edges. Not childhood memorabilia. Not letters. Official papers. Her name stared back at her. Elena Whitmore. She did not touch them at first. She simply looked, her mind racing ahead and then retreating, as if afraid of what contact might confirm. Finally, she reached in and lifted the stack free.

Alpha Enzo

Alpha Enzo

Enzo’s POV I chewed on the inside of my cheek as I stared down at the book. Simply Elemental, it was called: a battered old paperback that looked as though it had been passed around a lot, the spine bent out of shape, the corners dog-eared. I picked up the scrap of paper that had fallen from it and went to tuck it back inside the cover. I paused, the paper curling in my palm. I could look at it. Just quickly. Nobody would ever know…

Alpha Caius and the Runaway Luna

Alpha Caius and the Runaway Luna

“You like tattoos and piercings? That’s not the reaction you had when we met the lead guitarist of that band you love. If I remember correctly you said you’d lick every inch of ink until you reached his—” “ANASTASIA MARIE BLACKWELL!” Ziva’s bellow bounced off my skull and left my ears ringing. I cringed against the sheer volume in her voice and pressed a palm against my temple. “Ziva Sparkle-Fairy Blackwell!” I made up her middle name when I was eleven. Cleary I had a thing for fairies, sue me. “What?! What do you want?” “I think it is time we leave.” She said pointedly. “Now.”

I haven't yet started this book, but anything that comes from JaneDoe is top tier. I can no tell you the excitement I felt when I saw that you started another story, one that already has 55 chapters! I swear one day you'll be a big time author or producer for movies and TV, guarantee you'd be a hit!

Tainted Whispers

Tainted Whispers

It has been there since yesterday, and he still hasn't opened and checked it. He didn't want to. If he could, he'd rather burn it to ashes. He stopped tapping his finger, and the silence returned. Perfect. Controlled. Just the way he liked it. Grabbing the file, he gently placed it in the drawer and closed it. He was done with the paperwork for today as he walked over to the minibar and poured himself some vodka. With one of his hands tucked in his pocket, he sipped the drink while staring at the sparkling city.

Hacked Hearts

Hacked Hearts

Zivah, as her name said, was a light of brilliance. "And turn off that fan would you, it's already cold and you are inside that fat blanket, all cuddled up." Zivah said, pressing her lips together to even out the red lipstick. She was wearing a white shirt and black skirt that reached up to her mid-thigh, looking smoking hot and yet professional. I snuggled into the blanket, it truly was cold but it didn't matter. Whatever the season and weather, I needed the fan. Without it, I would just feel suffocated. Getting to snuggle into my fat soft blanket was a plus point.

Alpha Nox

Alpha Nox

Shelves lined the walls, stocked with tarot cards, crystals, books, and even a few journals. Zuri looked like a more carefree version of Jada and Hakeem’s mother. She wore a bright yellow skirt that flowed down to her sandaled feet, along with a beaded tank top whose teal fibers contrasted beautifully with her dark, radiant skin. Braids hung from her head down to her waist, shimmering with little silver cuffs and bits of crystal. Her eyes scanned the three of us and continued moving, never settling in one place. I had just turned towards the many shelves when the Whisperer appeared out of thin air. The suddenness of his arrival made me jump, which earned me a confused scowl from Hakeem.

This was the 3rd Jane Doe book I read. Alpha nox is a really good read with a badass female lead. You're a talented author and I can say you've become my favorite author! My heart broke into pieces at some point but intense emotions are what I love the most about your work! Good job, Jane!

White Whispers

White Whispers

Claire's eyes brightened. "Yes. White loved me," Harriet said. "I knew it wasn't healthy of course, and with the demand, you, Claire, were making for him to make you human, it only made him power-hungry. He didn't know what to do of course, so I said that I would help him. I told him what to do. I gave him the right combinations, and he made the deadliest whispers in history, equally making me more powerful. He never knew I was a Steele of course, and that whatever he did to you all would affect me. I used that to punish the Baron, and I turned him to a whisper." "Apparently, I had just discovered then that White, now all-powerful, thanks to the shared powers of the sisters, save for mine, h

A Shade of Violet

A Shade of Violet

I eye it suspiciously before opening it. Violet, I am the type of person to hide things. I am quiet and I am not the kind to show emotions. I hope you find this room to your liking and decorate it to your hearts content. I hope we can at least be cordial with one another as I have not feelings for you at this time. Your truly, Anthony
