Zack gestured toward the door “You’ll see.” The car ride started quietly, and the forest slowly gave way to roads and city lights as Zack drove toward the human city nearby. Zoe stared out the window, watching the passing scenery, streetlights, buildings, and cars, and it had been a while since she’d spent time outside pack territory. Beside her, Zack was trying very hard not to look nervous, his hands gripped the steering wheel tightly, and his knuckles were white.

The tour guide showed Xendy his travel itinerary, which showed the places his agent had suggested visiting. He wanted a forest tour or something like that now.
