Venus's POV
I rush to my home and see my mother reading a book. She smiles at me as soon as she notices my presence and I hug her. It's been a while since we were both at home at the same time.
"Someone looks cheerful today," she says with a smile on her face and I just place a kiss on her cheek before walking towards the stairs.
"Alonso and I are leaving for The Ocean Howlers Pack on work. It might take us a couple of days to get back. Will you be alright alone?" I ask her, as I walk up the stairs and turn around to see why she hasn't responded yet.
Instead, I found her staring at me with an amused expression on her face.
"I have been alone in my life more than you know. So now go and do your Beta duties well," she dismisses me with another smile and gets back to reading her book again.
