Seraphina's POV.
The pain in my neck throbbed painfully, although it was nothing to the rising panic in my chest. The man's claws dug deeper, and I felt the slow creep of blood dripping down my flesh. My feet stumbled, but I quickly regained my balance, trying to steady myself as I was being drawn forward.
I scanned the unknown faces around me, the pack members watching with cold eyes. My heartbeat was rapidly, pounding in my ears as I tried to make sense of my situation. Where was Fabian? Why hadn’t he come to stop this?
The man growled and gripped my arm as if to move.
I didn't fight it. What good would it do? There were too many, and I didn't have the stamina to get away. My survival was without a wolf or pack. As I had previously disclosed to Fabian, I was a vulnerable invalid in the center of their territory.
But he hadn't believed me.
