“Yeah, she did. Why don’t we go in your room and talk more about this situation you’re in?” Lexi questioned, her voice just below a whisper.
She was desperate to know what was wrong with her best friend. But didn’t want other people to overhear their conversation. So, Lexi looked left and right to ensure nobody was listening.
Once satisfied with the outcome, she pulled her friend closer to her. Lexi tried to send warmth and calmness from her body and brain towards Isabella hoping that it would work. Before she spoke, a sigh escaped Lexi’s lips, and relief filled her heart. The thought of being there for Isabella was more significant than any seeds of doubt that flowed through her mind.
My beautiful friend must rest now since tomorrow will be a huge day for her. She pondered while observing Isabella.
The sadness that once filled Isabella's mind changed quickly as time passed.
Despite it all, Isabella nodded while crossing her arms, and shrugged her rolled her shoulders backwards.
Although I don't want her to see my conflicting emotions, she must know that I agree with her. Isabella thought as a frown stretched across her mouth.
Disdain and anger rose with every passing second urging her wolf to take over. But, she fought herself internally trying to keep her at bay, since didn’t want to cause irreparable damage to Lexi.
“Ugh, this whole f*cking situation is frustrating!” She mumbled under her breath, anger rising with each word.
Not wanting Lexi to see, she inhaled, letting the breeze in the hallway calm her rampaging thoughts.
She looked at Lexi with determination in her mind. Everything that Isabella had kept close to her heart was about to be revealed. Yet, she was unsure of what her best friend's reaction would be.
Even though it’s difficult for me to show my heart. I need to tell her now. The last time I entrusted my heart to somebody was when I was 18. And look what happened. That’s why I decided to keep it to myself for so long. Because the only person I could trust was myself. She thought before speaking.
“Okay, let’s go,” Isabella replied, her voice void of emotion, but she was still happy to have someone beside her at this time in her life.
As the princess of the pack, she knew it was her duty never to show any sentiment to something she didn’t like. Her parents always told her that if someone noticed that she cared for anything, an enemy could come and take it away without a second thought. And she didn’t want that to happen, so since that day, she vowed to keep her emotions in check.
Since she is my best friend, for f*cks sake, Lexi must know everything. Isabella thought as their steps echoed against the hardwood floor of the castle.
Then, they stopped at a big, ornate door with an engraving on it.
As time passed slowly, each moment was like a ticking time bomb that would go off any minute. But this little peace she encountered was a fog of doubt slowly lifting off her.
Isabella stared at it for a second before pushing it open.
Creak, whoosh
The door slid open, disturbing the quietness of the hallway. Then, Isabella peered behind her ensuring noone was walking by.
“I can’t remember the last time we were hanging out like this,” Lexi stated, then began searching.
As her eyes scanned the room, a horde of memories ran through her mind.
Everything in here reminds me of the past and shared connection. Yet now our lives have changed drastically. I, the beta to the Alpha of Blood Moon Pack. Anabella is engaged to marry the Alpha King. I wish nothing had changed, but I can't do anything about it. Lexi pondered as she walked further into the bedroom.
Even though I was here earlier this morning, it never gets boring to stay in my room.
Every time I come back here, it’s only to remove a bit of the chaos from my life.
And the more I do that, it’s a huge relief for me. Isabella thought as she stepped inside.
The more she observed, the more a realization dawned on her. Something was going to change their life forever, yet they wouldn’t be prepared at all.
I just wish it didn’t take this long for us to have our girls' time. Lexi thought as she made her way further inside the room.
With every step she took, sadness held her heart captive and wasn’t willing to let her go. However, Lexi knew she needed to keep calm despite her rapidly changing emotions.
Isabella sat on top of her blush pink blanket and crossed her legs.
Her heart started beating fast inside her chest, anxiety racketing her brain.
There’s something wrong with this situation and her sudden appearance. I can’t help but hope this is a good thing. She wondered while patting the spot next to her.
“Lexi, come sit down next to me. And I’ll reveal my deepest secret.” She said neutrally, trying to remain calm despite the torment in her heart.
Still, Isabella wasn’t ready to speak her mind. And yet, having her best friend with her eased her mind just a bit.
She continued observing Lexi with unshed tears as Lexi nodded.
And a sense of ease flowed through her veins the more she did. Isabella raised her hand to her chest, inhaling the air that surrounded them.
I am ecstatic to have her as my friend. And I would do anything to keep her happy, even if that means stopping the wedding from happening. Or even standing in as a substitute bride. She thought with squinted eyes.
“Okay, I'll sit next to you. Just so you know, my ears are open for whatever you have to tell me." She replied giddily.
Then Lexi slowly inched closer to the bed. With each step, determination grew within in her heart as she got ready to confront Isabella.

As Ana took the book in her hands they automatically started roaming over it. And her mind was racing fast. 'Why does this feel familiar, but at the same time it is not?' She pondered as her eyes started hazing over, then they closed. Her heart started beating rapidly out of her chest. "What's happening? Why are my eyes closing on their own?" Ana thought to herself while allowing sleep to take over her. When suddenly, a memory flashed in her mind. Something which was a distant memory. Once it took over her senses, she found herself standing in the dimly lit halls of a grand castle. Being a werewolf, her senses heightened more. The scent of old worn books filled her nostrils. 'Where am I?' She pondered while trying to understand where she ended up. Ana started looking around the place when whispers filled her ears. "Alexander, are you seeing this?" She asked, but when she looked to her side, her heart sank. He was not there with her. The longer she was away from h
As they stood outside Ana's father's office, the air around them began to thicken with tension. It was a sense that something was brewing behind the walls. Something was going to happen, yet they didn't know what.Ana's mind raced many miles a minute, trying to understand it all. A mix of emotions swirled in her hurt, something that she had never known. Yet finding out about her birth family stirred it up.'I don't know if I should do this. For some reason, my heart feels heavy, and I don't know why,' Ana wondered as she shifted from one foot to the other. Her nerves were running rampant in her body, but she couldn't calm herself down.It took everything in her to slowly come back to the present and hear what Alexander said.'I hate seeing her like this. Why can't I figure out how to help her get through her rampant emotions?' Alexander pondered as he searched her eyes for any sign of regret. Before she could think about it anymore, Alexander interrupted her thoughts. His voice was bo
As night turned into day, birds started chirping, a sign that a new day had come. The sun began shining through the closed window blinds. The light danced around the room, enhancing each detail of Alexander's body.Every time he stretched, his abs protruded from underneath his pajama shirt. While this was happening, Ana was having a tense conversation with her father's assistant. As Alexander stood off the bed, the covers pooled around his feet, making a nice circle around them. Then he stretched once again and blinked a couple of times. As Alexander tried to remove any remnants of sleep that he had left, his mind started racing. Who is that talking with Ana? He wondered while just waking up.He squinted his eyes trying to see who was standing by the door. But he couldn't figure it out. After a few minutes, his eyes fully adjusted, and his anger became palpable. Alexander started balling his hands into fists.Whoever is talking with her makes my hair stand on the back of my neck, Alex
After her mother opened the bedroom door, Ana's eyes widened at the incredible sight that was laid out before them.It was large with an open bay window, and a blush pink bed was to her right. Everything was perfectly beautiful. And that was something she desperately needed to have. The bedroom was laden with so many trinkets, and her eyes scanned every single one. "Wow! Look at this place! Everything here is exquisite," she declared as her eyes bore into something in the room. Ana started inching closer wanting to find out what it was that she was observing. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably, but with determination, she would not allow it to get in the way. While Ana was enjoying the view, her mind began running a thousand miles a minute. This life was new for her, especially with everything that she had gone through. Yet, finally, she could have the life that she dreamed of. But is this just a dream, or will she wake up to find that this is real?'This place is beautiful. I n
Ana leaned closer as the last words left her mother's mouth. Her hands found the edge of the leather couch, and she grabbed onto it. She desperately tried to keep herself grounded, while listening to what her mother was saying. Ana began to pensively think about how and why now her mother was trying to be a part of her life. 'Why did my biological mother have to appear after so many years? Was it pre-ordained by the moon goddess? Or was there something else at play?' Ana wondered as she tried to understand what the meaning of her new life meant for her. "Ana, are you listening to me?" Her mother questioned before she continued with the story. Absentmindedly, Ana nodded, "Yeah, I am." She replied with a smile on her face. Right before her mother started talking again, Ana began thinking about her life, and how it would change. 'Will my mother's revelation guide me in how I view myself? And is it going to fill the void in my heart?' She wondered as her mother continued. "
