Raina.

I was planning to get off work at my next job at the grocery store when someone walked in. The last two days haven't been okay at all seeing Luke was still giving me cold shoulders.

His indifference hurts as hell but the only thing keeping me going was the fact that he hadn't cheated on me and made love to Jane like I feared.

If he had, I would have felt the pain and if he was going to, he would have done so by now so this only meant one thing. He still wants us, the marriage and me.

So perhaps I have been nagging him too much, stopping him from wanting to put in more work.

"Hello there." I heard a familiar voice and turned to see the kind-hearted man that saved me from earlier.

This late afternoon, I decided to use my little salary left (after paying a huge part of Luke's debts again, household expenses and his luxury goods) to buy myself new lingerie that would fit this time.

As I got into the store and was trying them out. A rude sales girl came to stand by my side, watching my every move like a hawk, as if I would steal something.

"Is everything alright, what is the matter?" I asked gently after noticing how she was creating a hole into my body and it was making me nervous.

The sales girl while chewing her gum so loudly as I tried not to puke just rolled her eyes at me.

"Aren't you too big for that size, do you even have the money?" The sales girl demanded rudely and I decided to just ignore her but that seemed to be a wrong move.

The next thing I felt on my hair was a yank and I screamed, feeling like my scalp was on fire, air about to pull out of its roots.

This stranger arrived in time and saved me in the process. I still had no idea who he was but immediately he walked in, everyone gasped and whispers flowed.

'Why was that?' I pondered and got no answer. He left immediately and now that he was in here, the same whispers were flowing.

"Why would someone like him come here? I heard he hasn’t found a mate yet, but he came here too but girls like us don’t even dare to dream."

I heard them all and just looked around in confusion. I mean what were they all saying? Also to think of it, this man does look familiar but where had I seen him?

I was still watching him when he suddenly turned to look at me and I looked away immediately.

"Hey you, please come over." He pleaded to my surprise,

"What is it sir?" I politely asked, noticing how devilishly handsome he looked in his T-shirt which struggled to contain his build and trousers.

He had a dark, long hair which was packed into a ponytail bun from behind and really, long beautiful lashes that he flattered at me.

Jealousy ran through me immediately as I wondered how someone could be so beautiful and also look like a girl.

"I heard your store sometimes trades in rare, magic props?" he said, but seemed more to be asking so I wasn't sure how to respond and just nodded.

"I am looking for something that can block the mate bond’s influence." He added and my entire body froze as my blood ran ice.

'He said what now?' I pondered, going pale and trying not to shake as I knew I had never heard about such.

My stomach dropped, twisting in my stomach as I looked around, trying to gather my thoughts.

'I was in front of a customer and couldn't afford to screw up. Home should be the least thing on my mind now.' I thought as I shook my head.

'Why would he even need something like that?' I wondered and decided to muster up the courage to ask him.

"Sir, may I ask why you need or want something like that?" I questioned with a thin smile, my hands shaking so badly and my palms sweaty from fear that I had to hide them behind my back.

The man gave me a slight smile and I let out a sigh of relief immediately. Atleast he wasn't mad at me for not minding my own business.

An older man in his late fifties came forward, introducing himself to be the man's beta. My breath got caught up in my throat immediately.

'This man was an Alpha? It was explained that they were investigating illegal magic artifacts, as tracking down forbidden items were part of their duties.

"Also if anyone asks questions about this, or whereabouts leading to this, contact us immediately." He told me and I was just about to speak when:

One of my colleagues leaned over and spoke.

“There was actually someone sir, around last week when I was on duty around last month." Cassie spoke up and I watched the smile vanished from the man's face.

Goosebumps covered my entire body especially when the man came over, closer to me that I suddenly found it difficult to breathe and asked about details.

"Was it a pendant he got?" He questioned and Cassie nodded while my interest got piqued and I decided to listen in.

"Was it the one that blocks a mate from sensing infidelity?" The girl asked again and the stranger nodded.

"After we told him that there was no such thing, he left in a hurry and said that we should contact him immediately if the goods arrived. I still have the customer’s

contact information." Cassie blurted out and for some reasons, my eyes began to twitch as beads of my gathered on my forehead.

A few moments passed and we all stood, with me pacing about, forgetting that I needed to get to my second job or was it home?

The paper was handed over with the phone number into man's hand, and as I caught a glimpse, all colors drained out of my face as my heart skipped a beat before stopping.

'Was that?'

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 29

Narrator's POV Raina's eyes were fixed on the clock, her anxiety growing with each passing minute. Dorian was late, and she couldn't shake off the feeling that he'd changed his mind. The ticking of the clock sent shivers down her spine, and with each tick, the moment of her potential execution drew nearer."What's going to happen if Dorian changes his mind?" she wondered aloud. She needed revenge against Luke for hurting her and wanted to ensure he didn't have access to the trust fund. But with her life in jeopardy, she was uncertain how to stop him."Should I tell the doctor to call him?" she contemplated, just as the door opened and the doctor entered. She breathed a sigh of relief and demanded, "Where's Alpha Dorian?" "He stepped out," the doctor replied."Oh no," her wolf, Lucy, groaned. "It's over for us now!" Raina's wolf cried out in distress. "Calm down," Raina whispered to Lucy. "It's not over for us yet." She reassured her wolf.Turning to the doctor, Raina asked, "Can yo

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 28

Dorian's POV The fact that she was actually too inquisitive made me uncomfortable, and so I decided to leave the hospital. I'm trying to do nothing but pay off some old debt, and she's over there thinking that I'm actually falling for her or having an ulterior motive for helping. I don't blame her either; anyone in her shoes would think the same."Don't let any other person go in there to meet her," I instructed the doctor."What about her treatment?" the doctor demanded."Except for that purpose," I told him and he nodded in approval. "If at all she asks you that she wants to have a word with me, don't hesitating to call me, you get it?" I asked him."Yes your majesty, I'll call if she does." he told me." Good," I said.Just as I stepped out of the hospital, I walked to the garage where my driver was. "It's time to leave," I told him. "What about the girl?" he asked me. I know he's referring to Raina. But why's he too concerned about her?"She's fine," I told him. "I..." "She's

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 27

Raina's POV Alpha Dorian wants me to sign a contract marriage? Was that necessary? I mean, why should I even sign a contract marriage with him? This doesn't make sense, and he shouldn't have even thought about this. I've been sentenced to death already, and his choosing to do such might make the media start bringing up different news.they'll even start saying things that ain't true and I wonder how it's going to look like.I'll make him explain more things to me."I don't understand," I mumbled. "What don't you understand?" he asked back, but I couldn't even speak. I'm shell-shocked. "Without that, this won't be possible." He added. But this still doesn't explain anything.I've read books about contract marriage, but of course, at the end, some things do get screwed up and all of that. What's going to happen by the time people get to know that Dorian and I were in nothing but a contract marriage? Even if he's trying to help me, must it be this way? Can't he figure out another way

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 26

Raina's POV More words can't express how confused I was after hearing Alpha Dorian mentioned that it's not just about Levi and Luke. Who else? Why are these controversies suddenly arising, and why now? I had been living my life peacefully with minimal issues, but everything has suddenly taken a drastic turn. What's behind this sudden change, and why is it happening at this particular time? I'm seized with trepidation. Levi's my worst nightmare, while Luke is the one fighting tooth and nail to get rid of me. So if it's not just about these people, who else could be after my life? "I don't really get you," I said hesitantly. I needed more explanations. I want to know what's going on and the reason why everyone is after me. I've got no money, my dad wasn't popular at all, and I don't feel anything special about my existence that would spark all these rivals. "You don't have to understand me before you do the needful," he told me. "I insist," I told him. "This is the r

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 25

Levi's POV I bent her over the chair and held her neck tightly.Instantly, I reached down and carefully unzipped my pants, revealing my large cock.I removed her panties and for a while, I gaze at her back side.I think this woman is wonderfully created; there wasn't any mistake at all. Now I see why Luke is bent on remaining with her.I felt really hot as the woman who's nakedness I'm looking out right now, had just turned me on.And immediately, I started using my palms to rub her back side and then, I returned my gaze to Luke who's looking like someone who had been punch in the face. His face was red with rage, but the reality is, there's absolutely nothing he can do about it. He can't stop me, and that's a fact. I haven't even started, and he's already frowning – I guess someone is going to die from anger right this moment."You like what you see?''I asked him mockingly. He looked down, and I guess he couldn't bear the sight of what he was seeing right now.He couldn't believe

  • Dear Ex Mate, Look At Me Now, I Now Belong To Your Alpha    Chapter 24

Levi's POV "Trying to play smart?" I asked him, enraged. "Holy shit!" he gasped. I couldn't believe that Luke was playing around with my intelligence. I gave him an easy task to go get Raina, and he refused. Rather, he chose to leave the house elsewhere, and now he's calling, telling Jane to fucking leave the house. What on earth does he fucking take me for? A fool? "So this is it, Luke?" I asked him, exasperated. "I've tried, and right now, there's obviously nothing I can do about it." He told me. Did he just say he tried? He fucking left his house down at the bar and just sat back there, thinking he was going to give me a damn call and tell me he tried to get her, but he wasn't. And maybe at the end, I'll tell him well done and ask him to leave_Fuck this bloody liar! "Do you think you can actually lie to me?" I asked him. "I'm not lying; I'm saying the truth," he told me. "You're saying the truth? Then tell me where the fuck you are now?" I demanded, seething. "That's n
