Damien's POV
"Look, I swear, I won't say a word about where you are. Please, don't hurt me. Just let me go." I enjoyed Dylan begging me. It was strange. A strange feeling. I was supposed to be a good kid. A good Alpha. But here I was torturing the packs' tracker, pointing a gun to his head. It felt…..I don't know. His leg was bleeding seriously. I had shot his wolf earlier, before it grabbed me. What part of 'do not want to be an Alpha' does uncle Mason not understand. "I don't believe you. I don't believe anyone." So, I held the pistol to his head and grabbed a rope and tied him to a tree, then I began to walk back to the car. My hand, still holding the pistol to his face. "Why you doing this man? You should be fucking proud to be an Alpha. Imma grab that chance with one hand!" Dylan said, still moaning from the pain in his leg. I turned to look at him. I didn't want to hurt him anymore. "You have to learn to look on the inside, friend. Things are not what they seem. There are many secrets, dark ones that all these people in control are hiding. But they won't show!" I spat lovingly and sarcastically. "Wha…. Whatcha mean Damien?" He asked in confusion. I simply smiled and went back to my car and started the engine.********** It was 11:40. I was alone. In the woods. I knew I had missed the party. That was the purpose. Missing the party. What was there to celebrate? Joy? Happiness? A new Alpha? I quietly sat down on a log on wood. I didn't know what I was doing here, or why I was here. But somehow, I always come here if I intend on running away from home or meet with Clara's spirit. But today felt different. There was no going back. It was me and the future. I may have the Alpha blood in me, but I will reject it! I knew I was going to miss a lot. College and a few friends I managed to have, Uncle Mason, and a few other pack members who sincerely loved me. Everyday, I was forced to smile, which I faked. Nothing was real. My own life was no longer real. I felt that was the best way to end it! But, what next? I sat there for a while. I could hear crickets chirping. Breeze was blowing softly, making the trees dance in unison. Some of the trees whistled beautifully. As I looked at the moon, all I could think of was Clara and Mamah Nora. Their cries slept and woke up with me everyday. I was haunted by them every night. Was this what it pays to be an Alpha'? My father never told me everything I needed to know. He kept hiding secrets from me telling me that the Moon Goddess requests for their sacrifices. But I had enough. No explanation could fill in the void in my heart. This, I felt, was how Villains were born. Suddenly, I began to feel my head ache seriously. I guess I was pretty tired from a rough day. It worsened. My whole body hurt as well. Lily wasn't here to treat me. I was alone. The weather must be cold, so I thought it best to sleep in the car tonight. I may be better by tomorrow. As I attempted to rise, a sudden surge of pain surged through my body, seizing my muscles and causing my bones to feel engulfed in flames. It felt as though every part of me was protesting against any movement. I fell back onto the log, gritting my teeth against the agony that coursed through me. Each breath I took seemed to ignite a wave of pain. My back, chest, even my arms felt as though they were being pulled apart from the inside. I clutched at my head, my fingers trembling as I struggled to make sense of what was unfolding. The pain grew more intense almost like it was gathering towards something. I let out a groan, feeling utterly helpless and trapped within this torment. It was as if my body was undergoing a transformation beyond my control. Then an unfamiliar sensation began to spread throughout me—unlike anything I had ever experienced before. It originated from the centre of my chest. Radiated outward. It was a blend of scorching heat and bone chilling coldness as if conflicting forces were waging a battle within me. Involuntarily arching my back a guttural sound escaped from between my lips as overwhelming sensations flooded my senses. "Arrrghh " I attempted to scream. Found that even the sound of my voice had become thicker than usual. As my eyesight blurred I noticed the colours shifting and swirling before me. The sensation of my skin tightening as if it were being stretched to its limits became apparent. As suddenly as it had started the pain began to fade away. Breathing heavily, I lay there trying to regain my composure after the experience. Gradually I cautiously moved my fingers, my arms until I was able to sit up.It was, at that moment when I sensed something, a primal energy coursing through me. It felt like a current surging with life and vitality. It seemed as though a powerful force of nature had taken hold of my being. But I was only 17. I was supposed to turn 18 tomorrow. Was I an early bird? And then, it hit me. I looked down at my hands, my fingers trembling. Fur. Dark fur was sprouting from my skin, covering my arms and hands. I felt a strange sensation around my face, and when I touched it, I realised that my nose was elongating. My vision sharpened. I could see the details of the forest around me, the rustling leaves, the insects crawling on the ground. My senses were heightened, my hearing picking up even the faintest rustle of a leaf. And then, I felt it again—a surge of power, of energy that I couldn't fully comprehend. It was as if a part of me had awakened, a part that was primal and fierce. It was my wolf, my other self. I stood up on shaky legs, feeling the strength coursing through my muscles. I took a step, then another, and soon I was moving with a fluid grace I had never known before. I let out a howl, a sound that echoed through the woods, announcing my presence to the night. I was a werewolf now, a creature of the moon and the night. The pain, the transformation—it had all led to this. This was it. My wolf.Damien's POV I woke up feeling rather queer. My whole body ached. I needed to start hitting the gym. I was probably low on testosterone. As I sat calmly on my bed, thinking about the day, I was left with disquieting thoughts about last night. I still couldn't smell where something was wrong. I could understand what was going on, but whatever it was, I sure needed to be careful. The substance Amber had left last night was still on my reading table. I kept it safe. Lilly, the pack healer should be able to detect what substance this is. I grabbed my phone, threw a shirt on and went to see what was for breakfast. Walking down the stairs, I stretched as hard as I could. I truly needed to hit the gym. But first, a warm massage would do the trick. As I got to the living room, I breathed in the fresh air of peace. Today, it smelled different. Today felt positive. Besides my body pain, I felt good today. Something told me that there should be some sort of good news today! Even E
Damien's POV I couldn't believe the words that had just escaped Amber's lips. "Be the next Luna?" The thought echoed in my mind as I tried to make sense of it. A surge of guilt washed over me as I realized how close I had come to crossing a line I should never have approached. Amber, the maid, my uncle Derek's daughter, had nearly become a regrettable mistake. "What the heck do you mean?" I questioned her, scrutiny. She stopped panting and moaning. She tried to maintain her cool, but I knew there was something behind this. Was she fucking me to get a child from me and become…. "Look, Alpha, I apologize. Your dick was soo.." "It's alright. Just leave. You can leave now. And do not ever come into my room again. Is that clear?" I commanded. I could sense her confusion and unease as she walked away. Watching her depart, I couldn't help but wonder what had prompted her to say such things. It was a stark reminder for me to be cautious, especially with Amber and my uncle Derek arou
Amber's POV It was working! It was finally working. I nodded and went back into his room and watch him shut the door behind him. I walked over to his reading table beside the window and simply stood there like a humble Mary girl with no lamb. He was handsome, very handsome, God knows. He was well built. From his biceps that forced their way through his shirt, to his shiny black hair and his beautiful eyes. He kept staring at me, saying nothing. His boned face was as straight as possible. Thanks to Daniella, I wore this bikini. It was indeed the perfect choice. He fell for it at once. "So, tell me, what is your name?" His cold voice sounded, resonating with the silence in the room. I smiled warmly. "I'm Amber, Alpha. Amber Romeo!" I answered respectfully. He nodded and walking a bit closer, he averted his steps and walked towards his bed, then be sat down and took his phone out and pressed a few buttons, then he switched it off. "Come, sit." He demanded. His eyes wa
Damien's POV I simply looked at his eyes and growled softly. He hasn't heard? I saw the fear in his eyes. He was immediately humbled. I liked it. Those eyes of fear! "Cut it Miguel. That's the Alpha right there! Alpha Damien." One of the girls sparked immediately. "Um.. oh. Alright! I…I gotta get outta here." "You should be more careful as to how you speak to strangers, Miguel." I conceded. "Yeah, whatever." He said and stormed off angrily, followed by the 3 others. I gently walked towards Elara who was still watching the door through which her friends walked through. She was sad. She ought to be. She just lost her father. But on a second thought, I had lost my father too. And my grandma, and my girlfriend. Crying and shedding tears did absolutely nothing to me but only made me weaker. I looked down at her with piy. She ignored me and couldn't stare at my face. She simply turned her head to the opposite direction. "I know why you're here." She began. "Just say it and
Elara's POV "Dad? Where's my dad?" I asked as soon as I heard someone in the room talk. A voice had woken me up. I turned to look at the man sitting beside me. "Where am I? Where did you bring me? Where's my dad? Tell me, where's my father?" I screamed, still trying to recall what had happened and how I got here. Quickly, the man walked out of the room and returned with some nurses who calmed me down with a syringe and began to check my other vitals. The injection worked. My body became weak and all I could do was watch these people converse. Slowly, and gradually, I began to remember what happened. I was in my father's car, heading into the school when.... Yes. This was it! My dad! As soon as I recalled the incident, I began to cry profusely. My head couldn't understand what really happened back there, and my heart couldn't phantom if this was real. I tried to speak to Mia, but she was probably too weak to answer. My whole body hurt. My dad had told me that it takes longer
Damien's POV It was the first day of college in a long long time. I'm sure very few persons would remember me. Besides, I hadn't much friends back then. It was just me and a psychopath, Nathan. He left our pack a few months ago when he lost his grandfather in death in the hand of unknown rouges. Well, during my father's reign, a lot of abductions happened. I had a nice cold bath. I finally had to put a mirror in my bathroom. I had to face myself and face my fears. But each time I looked into the mirror, all I saw was Echo. His dark cold eyes. His villainy portrayed through all nukes and crannies of my soul. Last night was darker than ever. The nightmare got me sleeping in the wrong side of my bed. Indeed, my life was a mess. I decided to go hot today. Being the Alpha and the new, renowned company CEO, I just got to be at my best at all times. I wore an already nearly ironed black t-shirt that had silver lining round the collar edge and the chest pocket. Beneath the black shirt wa
