JORDAN'S POV
I was feeling a lot of different emotions, all of them in the negative.
Gazelle's presence beside was doing a lot more than I expected it could to keep me calm and collected. The spoon in my hand lifted oh so slowly up into my mouth, carrying with it ice-cream that should be divine, but just tasted like sawdust.
"What are you guys doing in here?" Jeremy's voice carried through the semi-open doorway.
We both looked up at the sound of his voice, one of us frozen in her place. I glanced at her in a very brief way but she didn't even look back, her eyes were pinned on him as he strolled into the room.
"Nothing that should concern you." My voice held a finality that would get anyone else to back off, but this was Jeremy I was speaking about.
His face morphed into a huge smile. "Ah. You could've invited me to join in the fun." His eyes flickered between Gazelle and me, a knowing smile on his face.
