Chapter 18- Running from the Pack
“Dad, this is not up for discussion. We are leaving now. It is for our safety.” I declare as we leave the front door and see Rebecca, Devin, and Luis run up to the house. “Get behind me,” Matt demands as he quickly body-blocks them from me. “We just wanted to make sure that Briar was ok.” Rebecca lies. “We won't hurt her.” She tries to sway Matt with her sweet voice as she flips her hair to the side and smiles at him. “I heard your plan and saw your camp, you disgusting waste of flesh,” Matt growls at her. “You must be mistaken. I would never say anything negative about Briar. She is the Alpha’s daughter, after all.” The way she speaks makes me want to vomit.
