Fortunately, all the bodyguards knew Josie. So, they didn't search her person.
Lucas' assistant, Mark, stood at the door. Noticing that Josie had arrived, he approached her with a smile.
"Greetings, Madam Josie."
Josie merely hummed in acknowledgment.
"Where's Lucas?"
"He's inside. He just finished with a meeting," Mark answered as he excitedly led Josie into the house.
Josie entered and saw Lucas working at the dining table. Before him lay a pile of documents. The scene before her fueled her anger.
He did not even go to the office because he wanted to keep an eye on Chelsey. Josie found it unacceptable.
"Mom, why are you here?"
Lucas heard footsteps and lifted his head. At the sight of Josie, he flashed a tired smile.
Then, he stood up and walked toward her.
"You haven't visited me in so long. So, I thought I should come see you," Josie replied.
